Patents Assigned to FutureWei Technologies
  • Patent number: 8644708
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a first optical transmitter configured to couple to a second optical transmitter, a first optical receiver, and a seed light source, wherein the first optical transmitter and the first optical receiver are part of a first passive optical network (PON) and the second optical transmitter and a second optical receiver are part of a second PON, and wherein at least one of the first optical transmitter and the second optical transmitter is an injection locked laser transmitter. Also disclosed is a method comprising feeding a seed light to a plurality of injection locked laser transmitters in a plurality of PONs using only one broadband light source (BLS), wherein each PON comprises an optical line terminal (OLT) transmitter and a plurality of optical network units (ONUs) transmitters.

  • Patent number: 8259662
Abstract: A method and apparatus for dynamically assigning persistent resources in a wireless communications system is provided. A method comprises transmitting a first boundary indication to a mobile station, and transmitting a position indication to the mobile station, wherein the position indication corresponds to a network resource assigned based on a network resource request, the position indication is relative to the first boundary indication. The method also comprises transmitting a second boundary indication to the mobile station in response to detecting a change in a position of a boundary, and transmitting a first transmission to the mobile station using a network resource corresponding to the position indication or receiving a second transmission from the mobile station using a network resource corresponding to the position indication, wherein the position indication is relative to the second boundary indication. The first boundary indication is based on a position of the boundary.

  • Publication number: 20110136533
Abstract: A method of operating base station includes determining a first transmit power of a user equipment (UE), which includes determining a serving base station receive power, determining a path loss of the UE to the base station, determining a downlink signal to noise and interference ratio (SNIR) at the UE, and forming the first UE transmit power. Forming the first UE transmit power comprises summing the serving base station receive power, the path loss of the UE to the base station and the downlink SNIR. The method further includes instructing the UE to transmit at the first UE transmit power.
