Abstract: An apparatus for rendering a three-dimensional (3D) polygon mesh includes a processor, and a memory storing instructions, wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions to obtain a plurality of multi-view images corresponding to a plurality of captured images obtained by capturing an object at different capture camera positions, obtain a 3D polygon mesh for the object, select one or more of the plurality of multi-view images as one or more texture images based on a render camera position and capture camera positions of the plurality of multi-view images, and render the 3D polygon mesh as a two-dimensional (2D) image based on the selected one or more texture images.

Abstract: A head-mounted display (HMD) may comprise: a sensor unit configured to measure the movement of a user wearing the HMD; a display unit configured to display an image; and a control unit configured to calculate the user's sightline direction from a measurement value from the sensor unit and, when the user's sightline direction satisfies a preset condition, control elements of the image other than the viewpoint using the user's sightline as a input signal. When the user's sightline direction satisfies the preset condition, the HMD controls the image, which is displayed on the HMD, using the user's sightline as an input signal, thereby performing event processing and the like without any separate controller.

Abstract: An apparatus for processing a wide viewing angle image may include: a correction parameter generating unit for analyzing an image input from a camera to generate a correction parameter, a projection geometry generating unit for generating a projection geometry to output a wide viewing angle image by using the correction parameter, and a wide viewing angle image packaging unit for encoding the input image, the correction parameter and the projection geometry to generate a wide viewing angle image package. A method for processing a wide viewing angle image may be performed using the apparatus.

Abstract: A simulation apparatus may comprise: a sensor unit configured to acquire movement information of an object using one or more sensors; a direction calculation unit configured to calculate direction information of the object using the movement information; and a simulation unit configured to simulate a physical object and render an image of the physical object on the basis of the direction information received from the direction calculation unit. The direction calculation unit may include a time delay correction unit configured to correct the direction information using a time difference between the time of acquiring the movement information and the time of rendering the image.

Abstract: A head-mounted display (HMD) may include a sensor unit, a display unit configured to display an image, and a control unit for measuring a tapping applied to the head-mounted display from a measurement value obtained by the sensor unit, and controlling the image displayed on the display unit by using the tapping as an input signal. When the HMD is used, an image displayed on the HMD may be controlled by using a tapping applied to the HMD as an input signal, and thus, an event may be processed without using any additional controller.

Abstract: A user viewpoint related image processing apparatus includes: a sensor unit configured to sense a viewpoint change of a user and generate motion data, a communication interface unit configured to receive an image package including image data from a media server, a scene constructing unit configured to, using the image package, place a virtual camera in a virtual space and construct a scene for the image data, and a virtual camera pose changing unit configured to, using the motion data, change a pose of the placed virtual camera to respond to the viewpoint change of the user.

The system provides a series of pictorial/video image composing pipe line for changing the face of a specific source character that appears in pictorial/video image contents to a FIU pattern and guides a video related company (for example, a producer, a distributor, a sales agency (provider), etc.) to establish a base infra for producing/manufacturing/marketing a video on demand (VOD) content that reflects individual desire of a user so that it can satisfy user needs in changing the face image of a specific character appearing in pictorial/video image contents into the face image of a favorite person (or the user designates, for example, his/her own face image, the face image of his/her acquaintance, the face image of a specific celebrity, the face image of a specific politician, and so on).

Abstract: A method of simulating the movement of cloth and a computer-readable medium storing a program which executes the method of simulating the movement of cloth, wherein cloth deformation by compressive force is simulated by an immediate buckling model when the compressive force is applied to two extremities of a deformation unit which models the cloth, cloth deformation by stretching is simulated by a spring model, and hysteresis phenomenon of cloth is simulated by using spring-slips for modeling. The immediate buckling model is based on a model of the present invention in which a deformation unit is not contracted by compressive force and generates an immediate bending deformation.
