    Abstract: A push-button on a sewing machine is provided with a bracket rigidly connected to a sewing machine housing. A key member is mounted axially displaceably in a hole of the bracket with a stop for limiting its outwardly directed displacement and with a switch. The switch may be arranged on the bracket and can be actuated by the key member. The key member has a key stop for limiting its displacement directed toward the interior of the housing. An elastic hook-shaped holding mechanism extends into the displacement path of the key stop and fixes the switch supported on the bracket. The elastic hook-shaped holding mechanism is arranged on the bracket.

    Abstract: A folding device is provided for an automatic sewing machine for folding over at least two edge strips of a first fabric part. The edge strips extend at an angle to one another and the first fabric part will be sewn on a second fabric part. The device includes a support plate for the second fabric part, a folding plate movable in relation to the support plate for the first fabric part, and a carrier plate. The carrier plate is movable in relation to the support plate and the folding plate for a pressing plate that can be placed on the first fabric part. At least two folding slides are provided which are arranged at an angle in relation to one another and which are connected to a drive means each. The folding plate and the pressing plate have at least one edge strip each, whose angle is adjustable, and the angle of at least one of the folding slides is adjustable.

    Abstract: A lighting device for a sewing machine which has a housing with a base and an upright portion mounted on the base and an arm carried by the upright portion which overlies the base in which there is positioned a movable thread needle which operates below the arm to sew materials and which comprises a light source carried in the housing and a flexible sheath supported in the arm of the housing and extends outwardly of the arm in the vicinity of the needle. The sheath carries at least two light guides which have first ends exposed to the light source mounted on the sewing machine housing and an opposite second ends which extend out of the sheath in the vicinity of the needle. The sheath and the light guides are bendable so as to arrange the second ends of the light guide in a selected manner for illuminating selective areas in the vicinity of the needle.
