Abstract: System and method for optimizing bottling line performance based on data received from a bottle with sensors. The system provides a bottle with sensors in a bottling line or maintenance system, a network gateway, a human machine interface (HMI) device, and a platform server. The HMI device provides for local control of the bottling line while the platform server handles distribution of GUIs, as well as data processing, data storage, and data analysis.
Abstract: An apparatus and methods for using coatings for metal applications are disclosed. According to one embodiment, an article comprises a cured polymeric film having a first reaction product of a cationic photoinitiator and a compound suitable for cationic polymerization. The article has a second reaction product of a free-radical photoinitiator and a compound suitable for free-radical polymerization; The article has a metal substrate, wherein the cured polymeric film coats the metal substrate.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for alternative coatings applicable to metal are disclosed. According to one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a composition having, an ethylene acrylic acid copolymer; a neutralizing base; and water. The ethylene acrylic acid copolymer is about 15 percent to about 45 percent by weight concentration of the water. The apparatus further comprises metal coated with the composition.

Abstract: A bottle with sensors for probing and optimizing bottling line performance is disclosed. According to one embodiment a bottle, comprises an outer layer and a reservoir tube inside the outer layer that connects a reservoir inside the outer layer to a neck of the bottle. The bottle has a battery inside the outer layer and one or more sensors powered by the battery.
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling oxygen ingress in cap closures are herein disclosed. According to one embodiment, the current apparatus includes a cap and a cap liner. The cap liner includes a primary oxygen barrier layer and a first diffusive layer. A first side of the first diffusive layer is adjacent to a first side of the primary oxygen barrier layer. A second &de of the first diffusive layer contacts a lip-sealing surface of a bottle. The oxygen transmission rate of the cap liner is controlled by varying a thickness of the first diffusive layer.
Abstract: A system and method for implementing cap closure for a carbonated beverage is disclosed. According to one embodiment, an apparatus includes a cap liner having a circular ring shape. The apparatus further comprises an outer lip and an inner portion of the circular ring shape. The outer lip is taller than the inner portion, and the outer lip has two or more structures extending away from a center of the outer lip.

Abstract: A system and method for controlling oxygen ingress in cap closures is disclosed. According to one embodiment, an apparatus includes a cap and a cap liner. The cap liner includes a first diffusive layer and a semi-diffusive layer. A first side of the semi-diffusive layer is adjacent to the first diffusive layer, where the semi-diffusive layer has a lower oxygen transmission rate than that of the first diffusive layer. The cap liner further includes a second diffusive layer, where a first side of the second diffusive layer is adjacent to a second side of the semi-diffusive layer, and the semi-diffusive layer has a lower oxygen transmission rate than that of the second diffusive layer. The oxygen transmission rate of the cap liner is controlled by varying a thickness of the semi-diffusive layer.
