Abstract: Machine-learning based modelling may be utilized to automatically select a particular display variation of a user interface to be displayed to a user of a specially configured computing device, such as a cash handling device used in a retail establishment. To provide user-specific display variations of user interfaces, activity trackers generate activity data for the users interacting with user interfaces of the specially configured computing device. A machine-learning model is then executed to select an applicable display variation of a plurality of available display variations for the user, based at least in part on the generated activity data. Thereafter, when the specially configured computing device receives a request to display the user interface, the applicable display variation of the user interface is displayed for the user.

Abstract: The operation of one or more cash handling devices may be remotely modified by updating locally stored cash dispensing data at each of the one or more cash handling devices based at least in part on optimization data generated at a monitoring server. Operational data is received from the one or more cash handling devices and utilized to generate historical data within a historical database. Optimization parameters are received for each of one or more cash handling devices, and the optimization parameters are utilized together with the generated historical data to generate optimization data utilizing one or more optimization models. The optimization data is transmitted to applicable cash handling devices to cause the cash handling device to update locally stored executing instructions causing operation of the cash handling device to dispense cash into one or more register tills.

Abstract: To maintain an updated and immutable record of reconciliation data provided to reconcile an exception relating to one or more cash-based transactions. Exceptions are automatically identified based at least in part on data received from one or more data sources, and corresponding exception case data objects are generated as immutable exception case data objects. Update data is provided for the immutable exception case data objects, causing updates to a corresponding graphical user interface while maintaining an immutable historical record of updates provided for the exception case data objects.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to systems and methods for remotely monitoring cash reserves within a plurality of cash handling devices, and for automatically initiating change orders to maintain optimal levels of cash reserves within those cash handling devices. Certain embodiments remotely monitor closing transaction data received from those cash handling devices. Based at least in part on portions of data reflected within the closing transaction data, retrieve historical usage data relating to a forecast period; generate a usage forecast for the forecast period, and based on the generated usage forecast and the closing transaction data, generate message data for transmission to external systems to facilitate the maintenance of optimal cash reserves within those cash handling devices.

Abstract: In response to a request for currency transportation services for a retail location (e.g., providing currency to the retail location or picking-up currency from the retail location), one or more currency transportation requirements are identified and provided as input to a currency transportation model to identify and/or assign a carrier and/or a financial institution location to serve as a final destination or an origin for the currency transportation services. The output of the currency transportation model is utilized to initiate the currency transportation services by transmitting a notification to a carrier-operated computing entity to schedule the requested currency transportation services.

Abstract: Cash handling device simulation systems and methods store real-time updated data indicative of the operating software, hardware, and firmware of each of a plurality of physical cash handling devices. Such real-time updated data is configured for executing a simulated operation of one or more cash handling devices based at least in part on simulation input data. The simulation input data may additionally identify one or more cash handling devices for simulated operation thereof, such that the simulation system generates simulated output reflecting output generated by the one or more cash handling devices during operation thereof.

Abstract: To enable customer-facing transactions between merchants and customers that utilize cash designated as bank-owned cash (BOC), a monitoring server monitors quantities of cash within point-of-sale (POS) terminals, such as self-checkout terminals having cash verification systems therein, and monitors levels of cash within those POS terminals designated as BOC and for which the BOC cash is reflected within a financial institution account associated with the merchant. Upon execution of a cash transaction at a POS terminal involving BOC, the monitoring server updates quantities of cash stored within the POS terminal and provides data to a financial institution regarding the cash transaction.
