Abstract: A total money management system for integrating numerous stand-alone components designed to validate, track and secure gaming currency from the table to back-of-house is provided. Utilizing RFID enabled casino currency, an RFID chip tray, a bill validator, RFID readers and antennas, inventory system and chip authentication network, the total money management system of the present disclosure provides casinos with a cash and chip tracking and reporting tool that will improve table performance and streamline the numerous at-table and back-of-house manual money management processes and procedures.

Abstract: A gaming table comprises a table top having a top and a bottom surface adapted to receive an exchangeable insert. For instance, the top surface is configured to receive gaming accessories and defines an exchangeable insert bed. A base is connected to and configured to support the table top. A table top exchangeable insert is configured to be located within the exchangeable insert bed, wherein the insert includes a securing structure, for releasably securing the table top exchangeable insert to the table top to provide the ability to conveniently change the insert as desired.

Abstract: A gaming accessory, gaming currency or gaming table comprising a surface and a magnetic pigment incorporated into the body or surface thereof is disclosed. The pigment is configured to be affected by the introduction of a magnetic field from a source such that the pigment appears to change from the first appearance to a second appearance when the accessory is placed in the vicinity of the magnetic field. The first appearance may be a color, opacity, color effect, pattern or shape and the second appearance may be one or more of a different color, opacity, color effect, pattern or shape.

An antimicrobial agent is disposed in the material of the currency body or gaming accessory during fabrication and, due to the resiliency of the agent in withstanding the many stresses associated with the manufacturing process, the agent thereafter is substantially located on at least the outer surface of the currency body so as to kill or inhibit the growth of potentially harmful microorganisms that are introduced to the outer surface due to the excessive touching by multiple casino patrons and casino employees.

Abstract: The invention generally pertains to a chip tray for storing casino currency. By way of example, one chip tray is a dual chip tray having a lower housing assembly having an interior configured for receiving at least one removable chip tray for holding gaming currency. A top tray sub assembly is hinged relative to the lower housing assembly to pivot between a closed position and an open position. A chip tray lid is provided to cover the lower housing assembly in a covered position. In another example, RFID antennas are positioned within the lower housing assembly and the top tray sub assembly. The RFID antennas are configured to read and communicate with RFID-enabled gaming currency in the lower housing assembly and the top tray sub assembly.

Abstract: The invention generally pertains to a portable gaming currency reader for reading RFID-enabled gaming currency. By way of example, one portable gaming currency reader has a portable reader housing having a currency reading surface, a shielded antenna located adjacent to the currency reading surface for reading and communicating with the memory of each RFID tag embedded within RFID-enabled gaming currency located on the currency reading surface, and an RFID reader coupled to the shielded antenna for communicating with the shielded antenna to identify, read from and write to each RFID tag associated with RFID-enabled gaming currency located on the currency reading surface. The reader is also provided with a display configured for indicating information about the RFID-enabled gaming currency located on the currency reading surface, such as number and value.

At least one plug made of a plastic material is included. The plug is inserted into the cavity to retain the electronic device. The electronic device is in the form a pellet having outer film layers enveloping the electronic elements. The film layers are perforated. The method includes making the flat body, forming the cavity in the flat body, placing the electronic identification device in the cavity, inserting the at least one plug in the cavity, and fixing the at least one plug to the flat body using compression and heat so that the plastic material of the plug flows through the pellet.

Abstract: A token and method and apparatus for making the token, wherein the token includes a flat body made of a plastic material. The flat body has at least two parallel faces and a cavity which opens to at least one of the at least two parallel faces. The edges of the body include edge spots of a separate plastic material. The cavity receives an electronic identification device. At least one cover made of a plastic material is included. The method includes making the flat body, in two basic steps. First, by forming a pre-molded slug having a cavity and a lip extending above and around the periphery of the cavity using upper and lower dies. Next the slug is assembled with other components including an electronic identifier disc and a cover. In the final forming stage, the assembly is pressed using plates or dies to deform and flatten the lip to join the components by the flowing plastic of the lip and the cover, and compress the assembled components to the final thickness desired for the token.

Abstract: A chip, token or gaming piece having a textured pattern on either or both of its upper and lower planar surfaces and a machine for applying the textured pattern so as to reduce or prevent chips, tokens or gaming pieces from sticking together, are provided. The textured pattern can extend through to the peripheral edges of the chip, token or gaming piece to introduce air and break the surface tension on the planar surfaces. The machine can include an input collection hopper that delivers chips, tokens or gaming pieces individually to a receiver. At the receiver, a slide carriage can move each chip to a working position where dies can be pressed against the planar surfaces to imprint a pattern of indentations or grooves. After the textured pattern is applied, the chip, token or gaming piece can be removed from the working area and sent to an output hopper. A method of making the chip, token or gaming piece is also provided.
