Patent number: 8935962Abstract: A sensor assembly including a flexible member having a first end and a second end, a rotating member connected to the second end of the flexible member, a positional element disposed on the rotating member, and a sensor capable of sensing a movement of the positional element. A movement of the second end of the flexible member allows the rotating member and the positional element to rotate.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2012Date of Patent: January 20, 2015Assignee: Gammon Technical Products, Inc.Inventor: James H. Gammon

Patent number: 8141440Abstract: A closed loop system for obtaining a sample of a fluid from a source of fluid is disclosed, the system including a collection vessel having a fluid chamber disposed therein. A valve assembly is disposed within the collection vessel and adapted to selectively open and close a fluid communication path between the fluid chamber and an associated fluid receptacle. An inlet provides a fluid communication path between the source of fluid and the fluid chamber, and an outlet provides a fluid communication path between the fluid chamber and a fluid recovery system.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2007Date of Patent: March 27, 2012Assignee: Gammon Technical Products, Inc.Inventors: Howard M. Gammon, James H. Gammon

Patent number: 8091575Abstract: A valve system for monitoring and controlling a flow of a fluid additive into a main fluid line is disclosed. The system includes a pump that provides a constant flow of the additive from a fluid reservoir through a supply conduit into the main fluid line. A portion of the fluid additive may be diverted into one or more return conduits leading back to the reservoir by opening a solenoid actuated valve in the return conduit. Flow meters are employed to detect the flow rates of the fluids in the supply conduit and the main fluid line. The flow meters provide signals to a control system, which are effective to control the operation of the solenoid actuated valves to maintain a desired flow of the additive into the main fluid line.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2008Date of Patent: January 10, 2012Assignee: Gammon Technical Products, Inc.Inventor: James H. Gammon

Patent number: 7814674Abstract: A gauge for measuring the wear of selected cooperating surfaces of an adapter is disclosed. The gauge includes a plurality of rollers adapted to contact the selected cooperating surfaces of the adapter. A trigger mechanism is provided to cooperate with the rollers to indicate if the adapter is out of tolerance in respect of given dimensional targets.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2008Date of Patent: October 19, 2010Assignee: Gammon Technical Products, Inc.Inventor: James H. Gammon

Patent number: 6823741Abstract: A wear gauge for determining excessive wear of the notches and lugs of an aircraft fueling nozzle adapter to expeditiously sense wear which might result in leakage of fuel during an aircraft refueling operation.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2003Date of Patent: November 30, 2004Assignee: Gammon Technical Products, Inc.Inventor: Howard M. Gammon
-
Patent number: 6769309Abstract: A test gauge for testing an aircraft fueling nozzle for excessive wear in the interlock mechanism including a slotted fixture designed to depress the interlock plate to simulate more advanced wear on the interlock mechanism of the nozzle than is actually present in order to provide an advanced warning of excessive wear.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2003Date of Patent: August 3, 2004Assignee: Gammon Technical Products, Inc.Inventor: James H. Gammon
