  • Patent number: 7959430
Abstract: The method comprises the following steps: a) the container opening is sealed, b) at least one wall opening is created by drilling through or piercing the wall of the outer container using a drill, graver or needle, a pressurized medium being introduced into the gap between the outer container and the inner tube, once the wall of the outer container has been fully penetrated, c) the advance of the drill or needle is halted as soon as a predetermined first pressure threshold has been reached in the inner tube, d) the introduction of the pressurized medium into the gap between the outer container and the inner tube is halted as soon as a predetermined second pressure threshold has been reached in the inner tube, e) once the pressure in the gap between the outer container and the inner tube has been relieved, a pressurized medium is introduced into the inner tube through the container opening, in order to place the inner tube against the container wall again after it has been detached from the latter.

  • Patent number: 7516874
Abstract: A one-way valve device comprises a valve seat arranged in the neck of a container that extends transversely across the interior of the neck and defines a plurality of passage openings. A pin-like projection is formed on the valve seat and extends axially to the exit opening. An elastic seal is held on the valve seat and comprises a sleeve-like section which surrounds the projection of the valve seat with the exception of its end section which rests on the end section of the projection. Applying pressure to the contents of the container axially displaces the sleeve-like part of the seal relative to the pin-like projection, so that the contents of the container can exit. In the closed position, an annular projection of an outer cap firmly presses the sleeve-like section of the seal against the projection of the valve seat, so that no container contents can exit.

  • Patent number: 7487885
Abstract: The dosing dispenser for essentially spherical items contained in a container is characterized in that it comprises a passage channel whose inner cross-section is larger than the items, and an exit opening which in the relaxed state of the dosing dispenser has an elongated shape whose width is smaller and whose length is larger than the items. The dosing dispenser consists of a soft elastic plastic material and can be deformed by the application of pressure such that the exit opening gets larger than the items. The dosing dispenser is of a simple construction and can be produced at low costs.

  • Patent number: 7017761
Abstract: A container comprises a substantially dimensionally stable outer wall and an easily deformable inner pouch which gradually contracts upon discharge of the contents of the container. As a result, pressure compensation is provided in the increasing space between the outer wall and the inner pouch. The outer wall and the inner pouch have, therebetween, a layer of a pressure compensating material that expands when acted upon by an agent. The expanding layer comprises, in an exemplary embodiment, citric acid and sodium bicarbonate foam acting against the inner pouch. The foamed pressure-compensating layer supports the inner pouch so that no vacuum is generated in the pouch.

  • Patent number: 6837865
Abstract: An implant syringe including a guide sleeve which has seated therein a syringe needle arrangement composed of a syringe needle, a needle holder, a grip member and a preparation receiving member. The syringe needle arrangement is blocked in an initial state by two spring arms that are cut out from the guide sleeve and obliquely project inwards such that they rest on a rear wall of the syringe needle arrangement. When the plunger of the implant syringe is pushed forwards to advance the preparation up to the head end of the syringe, a sleeve which is connected to the plunger abuts on the spring arms and bends them outwards, whereby the syringe needle arrangement can be retracted. The two operations are carried out without changing the position of the hand, thereby simplifying the handling of the implant syringe.

  • Patent number: 6478768
Abstract: The implant syringe has a spacer which limits the advance movement of the plunger into the syringe needle in such a way that a distance equivalent to the length of the strand-shaped preparation to be discharged remains between the outlet orifice of the syringe needle and the head end of the plunger. The syringe needle is connected to a grip member that can be retracted over a distance coinciding with the length of the preparation. An insertion channel is initially made with the implant syringe in the body of a patient. Subsequently, the preparation to be discharged is pushed forward to the tip of the needle by advancing the plunger, whereupon the syringe needle is retracted to such an extent that the head end of the plunger reaches or projects beyond the tip of the needle.

  • Patent number: 6412659
Abstract: The neck of the container has arranged therein a tightly fitting insert comprising a bottom which is closed in an initial state and which, prior to the activation of a pump engaging with its end section into the insert, is opened in that a housing part of the pump is screwed forwardly in the axial direction of the container. The bottom of the insert and the pump have provided thereinbetween a receiving chamber for an active substance which, after the bottom has been opened, is mixed with a liquid contained in the container. A liquid drug containing an active substance which has no long-time stability can thus be discharged with a vacuum pump after a long storage period.

  • Patent number: 6276558
Abstract: The receptacle consists of a stiff outer receptacle and an easily deformable inner bag resting on said outer receptacle, and is produced in a coextrusion-type blow molding process. The outer receptacle contains at least one pressure compensating opening through which air enters between the outer receptacle and the inner bag whenever receptacle contents is discharged, for instance, by means of a pump. The at least one pressure compensating opening is formed by the measure that a curved wall section of the outer receptacle is cut away by means of a rotating tubular knife or a hollow knife in such a manner that a hole is formed in the outer wall. During the cutting operation, which is carried out at a flat angle, the inner bag is not damaged, but pressed away inwardly.

  • Patent number: 6244852
Abstract: The receptacle is produced in a coextrusion-type blow molding process and consists of a stiff outer receptacle and an easily deformable inner bag which are made from respectively different thermoplastic materials that do not form a welded joint with one another. The bottom of the receptacle includes a welded seam in the area of which the welded seam of the inner bag is clamped. Pressure compensating openings are formed in the outer receptacle by the measures that a notch is cut in, except for a small residual wall thickness, and that the residual wall section is torn open by applying a force.

The bottom weld seam of the inner bag is clamped in a closed bottom web of the outer receptacle. The pressure compensating openings are offset by about 90.degree. with respect to the plane passing through the bottom weld seam and the longitudinal center axis of the receptacle, whereby the inner bag is only contracted at two sides when the receptacle contents is discharged. The negative pressure prevailing inside the inner bag is thereby reduced.

  • Patent number: 5658258
Abstract: The applicator is assembled from an integral injection-molded part which includes an elongated flat strap from which a piston member projects at a right angle to one side and, at some distance therefrom, a cylinder member including a canula molded thereon projects at a right angle to the other side. The strap forms two spring arms of which the one, being bent by 180.degree., is first slid over the piston head with a recess. Subsequently, the cylinder is also fit onto the piston head, with the strap section that connects the piston to the cylinder head being also bent by 180.degree.. The piston head snaps in a rear position into the cylinder. The two biased spring arms always bias the piston in the direction of the rear end position, so that the applicator can be operated with one hand to take, for instance, blood from a container.

  • Patent number: 5415307
Abstract: To ensure the original state of the contents of a receptacle, the stopper comprises inwardly oriented blocking attachments on a surrounding tear-off sealing ring, with the blocking attachments gripping below an outwardly oriented annular projection of the receptacle. The blocking attachments are formed by lateral slides which cooperate with an inner contour sleeve. The sealing ring is respectively connected by a single tear-off web centrally between two adjacent blocking attachments to the upper circumferential wall. As a result, the finished stopper can be slid from the contour sleeve after cooling to 80.degree., the blocking attachments being smoothly guided on the guide surfaces of the contour sleeve. The sealing ring bulges elastically between two adjacent tear-off webs and subsequently assumes its original circular shape again.
