  • Publication number: 20020043829
Abstract: A method to close a bubble top (1) for a chairlift having a bubble top (1) that has two final position whereby one first position corresponds to the open position and whereby the other second position corresponds to the closed position. The bubble top (1) is driven to a third partially closed position (20) lying between the first and second position during departure of the chair from a station whereby the handle (5) to be actuated by the user (2) to close the bubble top (1) is moved essentially in front of the user's main body axis so that the user (2) may close the bubble top (1) from a more favorable position, physically.

  • Publication number: 20020038497
Abstract: A fastening arrangement (1) for sheet material of an enclosure [bubble top] of a chairlift has an enclosure frame (1) that is provided with a slot (31) receiving the sheet material of an enclosure. Into said slot (31) there may be inserted a one-piece (in a cross-sectional view) profiled rubber element (2), which surrounds the edge of the sheet material and which consists of softer material (4) at the bottom of said slot (31) than the material at the upper section (3) that engages the enclosure frame. Thus, the sheet material of an enclosure can be held in place directly and any application of synthetic foam or adhesive to the rubber seal becomes unnecessary.

  • Publication number: 20020030395
Abstract: A bench seat for a chair of a chairlift having a cross support bar (2) fastened to a supporting frame member (1, 9) of the chair. The front bench seat element (5) is supported by said cross support bar (2). The bench seat is furthermore provided with a backrest (10). The bench seat element is a one-piece bench seat top (5) that is hinged on its sides (6, 7, 8) to said supporting frame member (1, 9). Said backrest (10) is designed as a load-carrying laminated element, which is hinged on its sides (11, 12) to said supporting frame member (1, 9). Said backrest (10) is thereby provided with a transversely running supporting surface (13) at its lower region onto which the rear section (14) of said bench seat top (5) may be braced against. The bench seat may be constructed thereby in a simpler manner to hold a varying number of (required) seats since standard parts may be used at each side. Care and maintenance are simplified through the folding ability of the backrest and the bench seat top.

  • Patent number: 5575215
Abstract: A bypass for a car of a circuit cable railway system, which is positioned at a turn-about station of the system between the incoming and outgoing lines of at least one revolving conveying cable. The bypass includes coupling points, disposed on incoming and outgoing tracks of the station, at which the car is decoupled from the conveying cable when entering the station and coupled to the conveying train cable when exiting the station. A conveying apparatus drives the car, which has been decoupled from the conveying cable, at a feeding velocity around the station on a station track, and accelerates movement of the car on the station track to enable the car to recouple with the conveying cable at the coupling point when exiting the station. The station track has an incoming portion at the location where the car enters the station and an outgoing portion at a location where the car exits the station.

  • Patent number: 5570637
Abstract: A garage for storing vehicles of a continuous cable railway system. The garage has a plurality of side tracks arranged parallel or substantially parallel to one another to form preferably a rectangular shape. The garage is loaded with vehicles from the station track of the cable railway system over a first feeder track. A second feeder track is used to load the vehicles from the garage to the station track. Conveying units are present at the feeder tracks and side tracks to convey the vehicles. A single junction having two switch units is arranged between the feeder tracks. The junction also allows the vehicles to travel from one of the feeder tracks to the other. Sliding switches, each having an arc-shaped conveyer track, are located on the incoming and outgoing sides of the side tracks. Buffer tracks, each having several stopping points, act as buffers in the feeder tracks for the vehicles when loading or unloading the garage.

  • Patent number: 5570638
Abstract: A rescue vehicle 1 for a cable railway is conveyed above the passenger cars 2.sub.B, 2.sub.T on cable 4 in the direction of travel F. Its cabin 3 is hung on suspension tackle 5 which rides on the cable 4, and which can swing in the manner of a pendulum (5.sub.1). The rescue cabin 3 can be released from the suspension tackle 5 and lowered on at least three triangulated hoisting cables (6) to a rescue position at the level of a stranded passenger car 2.sub.B in order to pick up its passengers. A cable winch 7 with a single shaft and winches is mounted on the roof of the cabin, to synchronously wind in and pay out the hoisting cables.

  • Patent number: 5562040
Abstract: A rope guide system and for an aerial ropeway includes a haulage rope that travels along a path between two stations, and comprises two driving wheels 4.sub.1, 4.sub.2 disposed at one of the stations and laterally offset with respect to each other, which convey the haulage rope. Two inner deflector wheels 6.sub.1, 6.sub.2 direct the rope to cross over itself at a predetermined location to form inner and outer rope loops, and cooperate to direct the inner rope loop toward and away from the two driving wheels. A first reversing wheel 5.sub.1 is disposed at the other station, and the inner rope loop passes around it. Either two additional reversing wheels 5.sub.2, 5.sub.3 or a second, larger reversing wheel 5.sub.2, about which the outer loop passes, is/are disposed at the other station. Two outer deflector wheels direct the outer rope loop toward and away from either the two additional reversing wheels or the second reversing wheel.

  • Patent number: 5476156
Abstract: A substantially straight rail assembly on which a carriage of a stationary inclined elevator is guided includes two track rails, each having two legs joined by a web having a plurality of holes. Box-shaped frames, each comprising two rails having holes and coupled together with transverse bars, are screwed to the track rails at arbitrary positions in the longitudinal direction of the track rails to couple the track rails together at a predetermined distance from each other. Splice frames connect additional pairs of track rails to the track rails. The box-shaped frames and splice frames are removably mounted to foundations positioned along a gradient surface to mount the rail assembly to the gradient surface at desired angles of inclination. A cable winch or revolving cable drive moves a carriage of the inclined elevator along the track rails.
