Patents Assigned to Gaston County Dyeing Machine Company
  • Patent number: 4007517
Abstract: Effective bulking or shrinking of textile fabric prior to wet processing is obtained by recirculating the textile fabric in continuous loop form under an aspirating influence induced with an inert gas while applying heat to the fabric for such bulking or shrinking.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 13, 1975
Date of Patent: February 15, 1977
Assignee: Gaston County Dyeing Machine Company

  • Patent number: 4001945
Abstract: A method and means are provided having particular significance for dyeing textile strand material by circulating such material in a confined space, preferably, under the aspirating influence of jetted inert gas, and applying a treating liquor formulated for effective application at a short liquor ratio, preferably, by metering the same into the gas as it is supplied to produce the aspirating influence. Excellent distribution of the treating liquor throughout the material is obtained in this manner, while spent liquor effluent is materially reduced.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: January 11, 1977
Assignee: Gaston County Dyeing Machine Company
Inventors: Christoph W. Aurich, James Keith Turner
  • Patent number: 3998740
Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for treating textile desizing effluent so as to provide effective pollution abatement, and to render feasible the recovery of sizing material from the effluent for reuse as well as the conditioning of the effluent so that it may be recycled for desizing purposes.

  • Patent number: 3993234
Abstract: A reel for feeding cloth in rope form is provided that employs a plurality of spaced vanes radially arranged in alternately inclined relation so that their projected profiles cross intermediate their length and the outer vane edges are formed with a gently undulating configuration beyond such crossing for particularly effective feeding action.

  • Patent number: 3964153
Abstract: A method, and means for use in performing the same, are disclosed by which a core tube on which a yarn package has been wound may be readily removed while concurrently replacing the removed winding tube with a core suitable for dyeing. An expandable and reciprocable chuck is operated cyclically for this purpose in relation to a plate member on which the yarn package is manually placed for the core removal and dye core replacement. In certain circumstances the method and means disclosed are also adapted for removing the dye core after dying and replacing it with a tube of the sort initially used for winding.
