Abstract: A method of and an installation for packaging in a sterile medium employs a composite film constituted in a thermoplastic film in which containers are formed, and a covering film with their opposing faces sterile. These are separated at the entrance to a sterile enclosure in which the containers are formed and filled, in a sterile atmosphere, the thermoplastic film forming the lower wall of the enclosure. The full containers are covered with a strip from which lids are formed without the inside of the containers being able to be contaminated, and the covering strip and thermoplastic film are connected in an air-tight manner. The method and installation are particularly suitable for packaging perishable food products, in particular dairy products.
Abstract: The method comprises the forming in one piece of the side wall and an end wall of the receptacle, the sealing of a covering foil or cap on the outer face of the end wall, the forming of a slot at least partially closed on itself by partially melting thermoplastic material of the end wall with at least a zone of the end wall surrounding the slot and a part of the end wall surrounded by the slot being hermetically fast with the covering foil or cap, the filling of the receptacle through an opening opposite the end wall, and the closing of said filling opening by a separate bottom, whereby an extraction opening delimited by the slot is made by pulling the covering foil or cap.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for sterilizing a thermoplastic band used in the production of sterile packs.During the sterilization operation in the sterilization zone the edge of the thermoplastic band which subsequently forms the inside of the pack is applied to a movable sterilization support which is heated to the sterilization temperature and accompanies the band over part of its path to the shaping station located in the sterile enclosure and the contact being maintained between the support and the band until the latter enters the sterile enclosure.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for packaging products such as foodstuffs in which containers are made by heat deforming a band of thermoplastic material in which the band is deformed, the containers are filled, and a metallic cover coated with a thermoplastic material is secured to the filled container in a pressurised environment for example, in the presence of superheated dried steam. The containers are cooled in a connected chamber prior to leaving a housing in which the environment is produced and cutting of the containers from the band and one another.
