Abstract: There is provided a method for implementing an electronic card. The method can include providing the electronic card with a printed circuit board. The method further includes selecting one of a first side and a second side as a specified side on which only connection hardware is to be mounted. The first side is located at a first x-y plane and the second side is located at a second x-y plane, the first and second x-y planes being separated by a length equal to a thickness of the PCB. The first and second x-y planes are parallel.
Abstract: A system-on-module (SOM) for controlling an unmanned vehicle (UV) is provided. The SOM comprises a circuit board, a first processing system in operative communication with the circuit board, and a second processing system in operative communication with the circuit board. The first processing system includes one or more first processing units and a volatile programmable logic array. The first processing system is configured to execute a first process for the UV. The second processing system includes one or more second processing units and a non-volatile programmable logic array. The second processing system is configured to monitor execution of the first process by the first processing system.

One example aspect of the present disclosure is directed to a method for operating a gas turbine engine, the gas turbine engine including at least a high pressure spool and a low pressure spool. Abstract: Generation of scripts that facilitate execution of tasks within different run-time environments that utilize different languages and syntax is provided herein. A system comprises a memory that stores executable components and a processor, operatively coupled to the memory, that executes the executable components. The executable components comprise an identification manager component that identifies one or more elements of input data. The input data can comprise test data that comprises respective identifications of an input variable, an output variable, a test vector comprising an initial value of a test input, and an expected output variable against which test results are compared. The executable components can also comprise a template tool component that generates output data that facilitates execution of tasks within different run-time environments that utilize different languages and syntax.

Abstract: A thermal imaging system is provided. The system can include one or more thermal imaging devices, and a turn event controller in operative communication with the one or more thermal imaging devices. An example system includes a transmitter to transmit a radar signal. The example system includes a distributed network of radar receivers to receive the radar signal at each receiver. The example system includes a processor to determine a first range and a first angular position of a background point based on return time, wherein the first range and the first angular position are included in first data; determine a second range and a second angular position of the background point based on doppler shift, wherein the second range and the second angular position are included in second data; determine a refined range and a refined angular position, wherein the refined range and refined angular position are included in third data, and generate a radar map based on third data.

Abstract: Electrical machines, components thereof, and methods for manufacturing the same are provided. In one aspect, methods for additively manufacturing a rotor assembly for an electrical machine is provided. The method includes additively printing the rotor core and shaft of the same material composition. In another aspect, an electrical machine is provided. The electrical machine includes a stator assembly that includes a stator core having a plurality of poles with magnetic slot wedges positioned between adjacent poles to reduce tooth harmonics. The electrical machine also includes a rotor assembly having a rotor core that is formed as a solid core. In yet another aspect, a rotor assembly for an electrical machine is provided that includes slots that reduce eddy current losses in the rotor core during operation of the electrical machine.
