  • Patent number: 10295965
Abstract: A vector of actual sensor values is received. A maturity of a model is determined and the maturity is defined for sensors. A function that translates model maturity to model range inhibition measure is determined. A model range inhibition (MRI) measure is determined. An MRI limit based upon the MRI measure is determined. The received vector is compared to the MRI limit and the model is selectively changed based upon the comparing. In other aspects, vectors are received having actual values of driver and response sensors. A function that provides a set of boundaries between acceptable observations and unacceptable observations is also determined. Measures of similarity between vectors are determined. The measures of similarity and the function are compared and the model is selectively changed based upon the comparing.

  • Patent number: 10217573
Abstract: A system and method according to various embodiments can include a universal contact input status detection circuit. A voltage source wets a contact with a wetting voltage. A current mirror circuit is connected across an input of the contact to provide a constant wetting current over a wide input voltage range. The input voltage can be varied over a range wide enough to include both AC voltages and DC voltages. The current mirror circuit maintains the constant wetting current during varying wetting voltage inputs across the input of the contact. A wetting voltage sensor senses the wetting voltage provided to the contact so that the status of the contact can be determined.

  • Patent number: 9941185
Abstract: A method and apparatus for a variable heat conductor that is able to increase heat conduction capacity based on operating temperature. The variable heat conductor is to be positioned between an electronic device and a heat sink to facilitate cooling of the electronic device. During cold start-up of the electronic device, the variable heat conductor acts as a thermal isolator, causing the electronic device to warm more quickly following the cold start-up. The variable heat conductor may fully conduct heat at higher temperatures that are at or above a desired temperature set-point.

  • Publication number: 20160239755
Abstract: A system for predicting events by associating time series data with other types of non-time series data can include a processor configured to receive a data stream including time series data transmitted from a sensor configured to measure an operating parameter of a component being monitored. The processor identifies sequences of interest in the time series data having predictive value. The processor compares the real-time data stream to a set of pre-existing event data that act as effective leading indicators of different alarms and events. The processor extracts any identified sequences of interest from the time series data as an extracted event. The processor quantifies the relationship between the data of the extracted event and the known historical pattern by calculating a confidence level to denote a probability of occurrence of the event by comparing how closely the new time series data matches the data patterns associated with known events.
