Abstract: An apparatus for automatically controlling a state of operation of an ultrasound detecting system is provided. The apparatus comprises a first sensor disposed in a probe of the ultrasound detecting system and connected to a device main body, wherein the first sensor is configured to detect if the probe is being operated, and a control unit configured to control the state of operation of the ultrasound detecting system based on the detecting results of the first sensor.

Abstract: The effects of prior pulses are to be enhanced. A pulse string which monotonically decreases the flip angle is inserted between the prior pulse in one round and the imaging pulse in the previous round, and a pulse string which monotonically increases the flip angle is inserted between the prior pulse and the imaging pulse in one round. A return from the steady state to the equilibrium state can be achieved not only for on-resonance magnetization but also for off-resonance magnetization before the prior pulse is applied. Therefore, the effects of the prior pulse P can be fully attained. Further, not only on-resonance magnetization but also off-resonance magnetization can be brought close to the steady state before the imaging pulse is applied.

Abstract: A transient noise detection system includes an imaging system having a magnetic field coil and an imaging bore. The imaging system generates an imaging signal through a signal cable, wherein the imaging signal is corruptible by a noise event. A noise event detector is positioned outside of the imaging bore and proximate to the signal cable. This detector detects the noise event from the signal cable and generates a noise signal therefrom.

Abstract: A method of imaging and a system therefore are provided. The imaging system includes an image forming device for generating a first image and a second image and a controller coupled to the image forming device. The controller receives the first image and the second image. The first image is divided into a structure portion and non-structure portion. In the method the controller generates an image ratio of the non-structure portion of the first image and the second image, regularizes the image ratio of the second image with respect to the non-structure portion of the first image to form a regularized image ratio and filters the image ratio to form a filtered ratio. The controller then multiplies the second image by the filtered ratio to form a non-structure contrast matched image. The controller then combines the structure portion to the non-structure contrast matched image to form a desired image.
