Abstract: An air vent plug assembly and milker unit short milk tube having an air vent plug assembly to improve milk flow characteristics through the short milk tube. The short milk tube includes a wall with an upstream end and a downstream end and defining a milk passage bore extending between the upstream end and the downstream end. The wall defines a vent plug mounting hole. A vent plug extends through the vent plug mounting hole and includes a cap, a shaft joined to the cap, and a barbed end joined to the shaft, the vent plug defining a vent passage to at least partially vent the milk passage bore. A flow dimple is defined in the barbed end and disposed in the milk passage bore.
Abstract: A system for cleaning a dairy animal milker unit and applying dip to a dairy animal, the system includes a main control, an air supply, a water supply, a backflush fluid supply, a dip supply, a stall control for receiving the air, water, backflush fluid and dip supplies, and a safety valve that is adjacent to a downstream portion of the milker unit to control backflush and dip fluids being fed to the milker unit.

Abstract: A milker unit short milk tube having a downstream milk claw connection end having a position and release device joined to and extending away from the downstream milk claw connection end; a controlled flexible portion disposed in an upstream direction from the position and release device; a reinforced portion disposed in upstream direction from the controlled flexible portion; and an interior milking claw inlet sealing surface.
Abstract: The present invention relates to preparing dairy animal teats for being milked, and more particularly to teat preparation, rinsing, and milking that all take place in a milking machine teat cup liner. Such a method includes: applying a teat sanitizer to the teat; injecting air into the liner to force the teat sanitizer toward a waste milk line connected to the liner; pulsating the liner at a first pulsation rate; drawing a rinsing milk from the teat; directing the teat sanitizer, the air, and the rinsing fluid to the waste milk line; pulsating the liner at a second pulsation rate to draw additional milk from the teat; and directing the additional milk to a good milk line.
Abstract: A rotary milking parlor swivel comprising a stationary central core defining a milk line and a media inlet port; a rotating sleeve disposed at least partially around the stationary central core, and the rotating sleeve includes a first segment defining a milk inlet port in communication with the milk line and a second segment defining a media outlet port in communication with the media inlet port.

Abstract: A milker unit teat cup assembly for dairy animals having a shell and liner combination that resists twisting by the liner barrel relative to the shell using a recess in the liner that is spaced apart from the longitudinal axis in the liner and engaged by a key in the shell.
Abstract: A milker unit detacher with an adjustable and releasable hose support and a support arm that pivots about a tilted axis to bias the support arm toward a milking position to maintain engagement with the adjustable hose support member.
