    Abstract: A differential gear has a locking ring which is axially displaceable along an axis between a locked position in which it interlocks a dish (serving as a carrier) and a bevel gear, and an unlocked position in which the bevel gear is released. The ring is displaced by pivoting a yoke about an offset, upright pin. Pivoting the yoke is by means of a diaphragm connected via a pin to the yoke. The diaphragm is selectively subjected to vacuum. The diaphragm is attached to a cover of a housing of the differential gear.
