Abstract: There is described a method for operation of a traditional engine or turbine, where instead of a combustion reactor there are utilized cyclic thermochemical processes that drive the engine or turbine without the formation of waste gases that are harmful to the environment.

Abstract: A slicing machine for slicing pieces of meat or fish, especially sides of lox, which has a cutting station and a transport device which guides the material to be cut through the cutting station. The transport device includes movable track segments and fixed track segments. The movable track segments are formed as carriers for the material to be cut, which can be moved in increments, relative to the fixed track segments, by means of a drive device. The drive device includes vertical drive elements and horizontal drive elements. Each track segment is a strip that extends across the length of the track element.
Abstract: Prawns and like shellfish are shelled by holding them at the tail end, cutting the shell at a point between head and tail, drawing off the head which is discarded, and then drawing the flesh out of the tail part of the shell which is still clamped. Apparatus for performing the shelling comprises a prawn holder which moves sequentially past devices for clamping, cutting and applying suction to the prawns.
Abstract: A shock-, vibrations- and tampering-proof attachment means of an object, such as a signal producing insert of an ionization alarm system coaxially and non-rotatably to a support, such as for land-, marine- and air vehicles provides a spring assembly with a spring and biased coaxial protrusion in the bottom of the object with a helically wound canal running through the protrusion having end orifices in its surface. The support is provided with a U-shaped fork fixed with its yoke in it. A connecting means equipped with a rod traverses the protrusion perpendicularly to its axis. The rod is fastened to both free ends of the yoke. Optimum shapes and dimensions of the respective parts are established, also with the view of maintaining a minimum size of the object itself. The object with the fixed protrusion is mounted by rotation thereof to the support, thus hiding the attachment means and making them vibration proof and inaccessible from the outside.
