    Abstract: A straw chopping and spreading device consisting of a rotary chopper, mounted in a housing assembly and a spreader assembly 16 through which chopped straw passes out of the housing assembly. The spreader assembly consists of a pair of converging plates which form a converging nozzle, a series of adjustable spreader plates for controlling the width of spread and an adjustable deflector for adjusting the angle at which chopped straw is deflected toward the ground.
