  • Patent number: 4991682
Abstract: A sensor, preferably one of sub-miniature design, serves for measuring an acceleration (b). For this purpose, an electric signal representative of the acceleration (b) to be measured is generated by a sensor arrangement and evaluated as measured value. The sensor arrangement produces a predetermined logic signal when an acceleration threshold value is exceeded. In order to ensure high detection security and to obtain a computer-compatible signal, with the aid of an arrangement of small dimensions, one makes use of a plurality of sensors responding at different acceleration threshold values. The sensors are, preferably, designed as unilaterally fixed elastic tongues. The tongues are differently designed, with respect to their spring-and-mass properties, in order to provide different acceleration threshold values. They are arranged on a common substrate board and connected to a digital evaluation unit.

  • Patent number: 4911523
Abstract: A plug connection for light conductors comprises identical first and second hermaphroditic plug connector bodies, each connector body having a longitudinally-oriented light conductor guide section provided with a discrete light conductor guide means, and a longitudinally-oriented connector section adjoining the light conductor guide section at a radial plane and being provided with discrete snapping means. The snapping means provide for radially directed and opposite movement of the first and second connector bodies when detaching and joining the first and second connector bodies at their radial planes, thereby obviating the need for a cable allowance for conducting said joining and detaching movements.

  • Patent number: 4770558
Abstract: In an ink writing instrument, the ink storage space is divided into individual chambers that are inside the housing and are arranged axially one behind one another. The chambers are connected with the writing point by an ink guide. The ink-filled chambers are emptied one after the other by capillaries in the ink guide, air entering the chambers by a ventilation duct in the mouthpiece and the capillary ventilation openings. When ink is removed, no enclosed air volume is formed inside the storage space. In a second embodiment, the chambers are emptied simultaneously, the ventilation duct being opposite the writing point.

  • Patent number: 4172673
Abstract: A writing instrument for thin lead refills comprising a housing and a lead feed mechanism located within the housing and wherein the feed of the lead refills is effected by a lead collet slidable axially against a spring force. The housing is sub-divided into front and rear housing sections which are axially adjacent one another and are relatively rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the instrument. To each housing section there is secured in rotation a component of a cam assembly comprising a thrust cam component and a thruster component. Upon relative rotation of the housing sections, the components interact with one another to slide the lead collet into projected open position for receiving a lead refill. One of the cam components is axially secured with the associated housing section and the other cam component is axially secured with the part of the lead feed mechanism carrying the lead collet and is axially displaceble with respect to the associated housing section.

  • Patent number: 3951668
Abstract: A multicolor printing method for reproducing varicolored images on substrates having a white surface by printing with inks of three primary colors, i.e. a color absorb blue (cab) which is a yellow, a color absorb green (cag) which is a red-violet and a color absorb red (car) which is a blue-green, producing printed colors having spectral density curves passing through matching ranges of optical densities at characteristic wavelengths in the visible spectrum, the ranges being within the following parameters: Range of Optical density in % of D.sub.max Wavelengths cab cag car ______________________________________ 407 to 423 nm 65 to 93 2 to 27 39 to 79 453 to 456 nm 89 to 101 10 to 25 12 to 25 492 to 496 nm 60 to 74 65 to 81 1 to 10 538 to 541 nm 4 to 14 88 to 103 13 to 25 584 to 591 nm 1 to 3 50 to 75 65 to 88 633 to 646 nm 1 to 3 1 to 4 84 to 109 ______________________________________D.sub.
