Patent number: 6364225Abstract: Product pieces (2) produced from old tires are thermally processed in a discontinually operated device (1). The product pieces (2) consist of a material compound, which comprises at least one material component which decomposes by heating, by mechanically moving and/or fluidizing the product pieces (2) in the device (1) and by heating to an material decomposition temperature via heated contact surfaces of the device (1). At this temperature the material compound decomposes in one or several solid matter material components and fluids, which can be taken out of the device (1) separately. A single component separation is made possible by the method and the use of the device. Environmental impact is mostly avoided.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2000Date of Patent: April 2, 2002Assignee: Gebruder Lodige Maschinenbau-Gesellschaft mbHInventors: Reiner Numrich, Gerhard Tewes

Patent number: 5975753Abstract: A mixing tool 10 can be mounted within a drum 20. A mixing arm 12 of the ing tool 10 can be held by a shaft borne in a rotatable fashion. A mixing body 11 is mounted to the mixing arm 12 and directed towards the inner surface of the drum. One or more rods 13 are introduced onto the outer surface 14 of the mixing body 11 and have a prominent mixing edge 18. A mixing tool of simple construction is developed with which nearly all mixable bulk products and/or product mixtures can be processed without leading to the formation of product deposits in the region between the inner surface of the drum and the mixing body 11.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 1998Date of Patent: November 2, 1999Assignee: Gebruder Lodige Maschinenbau-Gesellschaft mit beschrankter HaftungInventor: Thomas Meyer

Patent number: 5899568Abstract: A mixing tool 10 for bulk material and/or similar materials for attachment onto a shaft 11 in a drum of a mixer has mixing tool surfaces F.sub.1 17 and F.sub.2 18 which extend radially from the shaft 11 nearly up to the inner wall of the mixer. The mixing tool surfaces F.sub.1 17 and F.sub.2 18 are distinguished by tool profile surfaces F.sub.P1 and F.sub.P2 which are generated by a cut through a penetration body in the x-z-plane formed by moving the mixing tool surfaces F.sub.1 17 and F.sub.2 18 formed on the mixing tool 10 through the material to be processed. The mixing tool surfaces F.sub.1, F.sub.2 are formed in such a fashion that they span surfaces defined by factors c.sub.1 and c.sub.2 in dependence on the radius of the drum, and the material volume flows from the mixing tool surfaces F.sub.1 17 and F.sub.2 18 back into the material to be processed are preferentially equal and oppositely directed parallel to the axis. The tilting of the mixing tool surfaces F.sub.1 17 and F.sub.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 1998Date of Patent: May 4, 1999Assignee: Gebruder Lodige Maschinenbau-Gesellschaft mbHInventor: Rainer Vonnahme

Patent number: 4818297Abstract: To remove solvents such as alcohol from bulk material the solvent-laden bulk material is intensively loosened mechanically into a virtual fluidized bed through which a liquid in gaseous phase such as steam is passed so that the solvent having a lower boiling point than water is expelled from the bulk material and is evacuated with excess steam while at least part of the steam condenses on the particles of the bulk material which thereby is humidified. The solvent expelled from the bulk material is separated from the steam and can be used again. The treatment is carried out in a closed vessel in which the bulk material and the steam are moved relative to each other.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1987Date of Patent: April 4, 1989Assignee: Gebruder Lodige Maschinenbau-GesellschaftInventors: Reinhold Holzmuller, Roland Lucke

Patent number: 4572100Abstract: A method is disclosed of applying glue to loose fibrous material which is revolved relatively rapidly in a confined space. While this is happening, the glue and air under slight excess pressure are fed to the material from approximately the center of the space. Apparatus for this purpose comprises a container, a hollow shaft rotatably mounted in the container, and a plurality of rod-like tools secured to the hollow shaft. Each of the tools is generally cylindrical, and is provided with a central longitudinal bore one end of which opens into the hollow shaft and the other end of which is closed. Each tool has a longitudinally-extending flat external surface portion, and a plurality of substantially radial bores communicating with the central longitudinal bore. The radial bores of each tool terminate at the external surface of that tool in the zone of said flat portion thereof.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 1985Date of Patent: February 25, 1986Assignee: Gebruder Lodige Maschinenbau-Gesellschaft mbHInventor: Wilhelm Schluter

Patent number: 4458827Abstract: Two measuring cups (5, 6) are alternately filled and emptied. The fill st is determined by an overflow, and the emptying time during which a withdrawal pump (30) is connected to the respective cup is determined by scanning pump revolutions. The scanned pump revolutions for emptying are compared with a desired pumping rate, entered into a counter (50) which decrements in accordance with revolutions of the pump (30), and, if a deviation from commanded pumping rate is sensed, a correction memory (60) is loaded which controls over a control unit (33, 61) change in pumping speed to null any deviation from commanded rate. To associate the commanded rate with actual weight of chips or fibers to be coated, the chips or fibers can be weighed continuously, and the continuously weighed number entered into the control computer (33) to generate a command number for entry into the decrementing counter (50).Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 1981Date of Patent: July 10, 1984Assignee: Gebruder Lodige Maschinenbau-Gesellschaft mit beschrankter HaftungInventor: Franz-Josef Stelte

Patent number: 4370945Abstract: A method for gluing of chips, fibers, and similar ligno-cellular containing articles which are discharged falling free in a vertical chute and being subjected at least partially to rotational forces during the downward movement thereof, being glued and thereafter being discharged from the chute, characterized thereby that the chips during the free fall thereof are collected into a rotating chip material ring and after at least substantial formation of the chip material ring being glued and that directly subsequently chips of the at least substantially formed chip material ring are subjected to components of movement directed upwardly in such a manner that the chip material ring is stopped in the downward movement thereof.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 1981Date of Patent: February 1, 1983Assignee: Gebruder Lodige Maschinenbau Gesellschaft mit beschrankter HaftungInventors: Heinrich Beckschulte, Wilhelm Schluter
