Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for an integrated cross platform multimedia broadband search and selection user interface. The user interface searches for media across different platforms including the user's stored media and all other media available both online and offline. The interface uses a series of icons to display search results. The method includes (i) receiving a query having at least one search term from a user, (ii) performing a search in a network of databases being executed by the user utilizing the at least one search term, (iii) assigning each search result among the search results to at least one icon, and (iv) displaying the at least one icon with the respective search result.

Abstract: A method and system is provided for file accessing and data transferring to secure online voting using a multilayered security system where all contents of the data may be delivered to users of varied electronic devices. The data transferring occur as an external communication between separate computers which themselves are distinguishable processing entities, such as a voter processing center, online voting station, registration station, and calling station. The system includes (i) requesting at least one voter and biometric information based on a security level; (ii) receiving the at least one voter and biometric information from the user; (iii) verifying the at least one voter and biometric information against the stored voter and biometric information; (iv) in response to acceptable verifications, sending a voting ballot; and (v) receiving and storing the voting ballot with a vote selection. The security level may depend on the type of ballot.

Abstract: A system and corresponding method for providing a 3 dimensional (3-D) user interface display images in a 3-D coordinate system. Sensors are configured to sense user interaction within the 3-D coordinate system, so that a processor may receive user interaction information from the sensors. The sensors are able to provide information to the processor that enables the processor to correlate user interaction with images in the 3-D coordinate system. The system may be used for interconnecting or communicating between two or more components connected to an interconnection medium (e.g., a bus) within a single computer or digital data processing system.
