Abstract: An architecture configured to transmit data between a plurality of electric traction vehicles moving in a transport network is described. The architecture includes a transmission and decoupling system inserted between the vehicles and substations connecting with the power supply network being used for a continuous data transmission according to the BPLC communication mode on the vehicles and the backbone ethernet network. The transmission and decoupling system includes an onboard device placed onboard each vehicle and configured to connect to one of the grounded devices when the vehicles transit in correspondence of the grounded device and a plurality of grounded devices. Each grounded device is adapted to be coupled to at least one of the substations and includes an adapter which is directly connected to the ethernet backbone network and is a PLC master device. The onboard device of each vehicle includes an adapter being a PLC slave device.
