Patent number: 4429197Abstract: A vacuum vessel 7 comprises a bell shaped metal casing 5, and an insulating circular end plate 6 hermetically brazed to the opening end of the metal casing. A vacuum interrupter 3 is constituted by aligning a stationary contact rod 20 with a movable contact rod 17, each having an electrical contact 8,9, within the vacuum vessel so that the latter is in contact with the former or away therefrom. A vacuum power interrupting device comprises a disk-shaped resin supporting block 4 in which the vacuum interrupter is molded. A stationary electrode 23 is connected to a stationary contact rod 20 disposed within the vacuum interrupter. A tubular insulating barrier is integrally formed with the supporting block so as to surround the stationary electrode.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 1980Date of Patent: January 31, 1984Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Meidensha, Kabushiki Kaisha GemvacInventors: Shinzo Sakuma, Hifumi Yanagisawa, Kazuo Tokuhata, Hiroshi Miyagawa

Patent number: 4365127Abstract: A vacuum power interrupter is constituted by a vacuum vessel (21) consisting of a bell shaped metal casing (20) having substantially the same coefficient of thermal expansion as that of ceramic, and an insulating circular end plate (19, 19a), having a circular bore (24) in the center thereof, hermetically brazed to the opening end of the casing. The vacuum power interrupter comprises stationary and movable contact rods (38, 35), each having an electrical contact (22, 23) on the one end thereof, aligned in the axial direction of the vacuum vessel so that the latter is movable relative to the former, an arc-shield member (30) disposed within the vacuum vessel so as to surround electrical contacts, and a bellows (33) having one end hermetically brazed to the one end of the movable contact rod, and the other end hermetically brazed to the inner circumferential surface of the insulating end plate through an annular extended portion of the arc-shield member.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 1980Date of Patent: December 21, 1982Assignees: Kabushiki Kaishi Meidensha, Kabushiki Kaisha GemVacInventors: Shinzo Sakuma, Junichi Warabi

Patent number: 4293748Abstract: An electric circuit interrupter including a pair of electrodes, one of the electrodes being relatively movable with respect to the other into and out of engagement with the other. At least one of the electrodes comprises an annular contact section and an arc driving section surrounding the annular contact section. The arc driving section is formed with a plurality of slots inwardly extending from the outer periphery of the arc driving section to divide it into arc driving segments. The slots are inclined at an angle with respect to the radius of the arc driving section and also inclined at an angle with respect to the axis of the arc driving section such that the arc driving segments can overlap the adjacent arc driving segments across the inclined slots.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 1978Date of Patent: October 6, 1981Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Meidensha, Kabushiki Kaisha GEMVACInventors: Shinzo Sakuma, Hifumi Yanagisawa
