Abstract: An interferometer and method for interferometric analysis are provided. The methodology includes generating first and second light beams from a light source, interacting the first light beam with an object under inspection, forming, from light emanating from the object under inspection in response to the interacting, an image of the light source on an image sensor, projecting the second light beam on the image on the image sensor, the combination of the light emanating from the object under inspection and the second light beam forming a collective image on the image sensor, applying a Fourier transform to the collective image formed on the image sensor, thereby forming a phase image, and isolating a wavefront map of the object under inspection from within the phase image.
Abstract: An apparatus for electronic data storage is disclosed. The apparatus includes any number of discrete data storage devices mounted on a card which readily can be inserted into and removed from an associated piece of electronic equipment, such as a computer. One or more controllers mounted on the card or remotely control the transfer of data to and from each discrete data storage device. Multiple cards containing one or more discrete data storage devices can be arrayed for use in connection with any number of associated electronic apparatus.
Abstract: An array module containing an array of electronic units is mounted in an installation frame. The electronic units can be mounted by rails in a hermetically sealed array housing and blind-mate connectors can connect the units to a rear plate. Blind-mate connectors also can connect the rear plate to the installation frame for external connection. A plurality of resilient mounts are fastened to the installation frame to protect the frame and storage array module from external shock. A thermal transfer mechanism transfers thermal energy between the electronic units and a region exterior to the installation frame. The electronic units can be enclosed in hermetically sealed chambers having side rails for rigidly fastened to the unit and a resilient support connecting the side rails to at least one of the covers of the hermetically sealed chamber.
