Patent number: 5748445Abstract: This invention describes a triangular heat sink and circuit enclosure for high power dissipation electronic circuits. The heat sink uses a number of cooling fins to provide cooling of the circuitry and equipment contained in the circuit enclosure and can handle power dissipation levels of up to 15 kilowatts. The circuit enclosure uses air moving devices and triangular heat sinks to provide both conduction cooling and heat transfer to a stream of air. The cooling fins of the heat sink are sealed away from the electronic components when the circuit enclosure is assembled.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 1996Date of Patent: May 5, 1998Assignee: General Resources CorporationInventors: Michael John North, Christopher Hall, Thomas Mark Cyster, Chris C. Patent number: 5670859Abstract: This invention provides a means to maintain the rotational speed and the relationship of the electromagnetic fields of a three phase induction motor and to determine the minimum voltage to excite the motor without it stalling. The three phase induction motor is driven by an inverter bridge circuit which converts DC input power into three phase AC output power. Feedback of the current provided to the inverter bridge circuit is split into positive and negative current flow periods which are used to determine appropriate changes to the three phase AC power magnitudes and phase angles. The inverter bridge circuit uses six insulated gate bipolar transistors to control the three phase AC power magnitude and phase angles.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 1995Date of Patent: September 23, 1997Assignee: General Resource CorporationInventors: Michael John North, Christopher Hall, Thomas Mark Cyster, Ching-Chuan Chen

Patent number: 5186433Abstract: A valve which is eccentrically adjustable, wherein the eccentric mating between a valve and valve seat is defined by a fixed eccentric and an adjustable eccentric. The fixed eccentric is provided by a drive shaft for the valve closure member being fixed eccentrically of a central axis of rotation of the valve closure member. The adjustable eccentric is provided by a rotatable eccentric bearing for receiving the drive shaft.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1992Date of Patent: February 16, 1993Assignee: General Resource CorporationInventor: Josef Pausch

Patent number: 5143468Abstract: An articulable joint with two opposing disk-like joint portions or plates which are joined by and pivot about a central locking bolt. The joint portions also engage each other via ball and ball seat contact points. Spring pressed balls on one joint portion are biased into ball seats formed in the other joint portion such that the joint may be pivoted incrementally to a number of positions. The spring pressed balls are separately housed in individual ball plungers which in turn are threaded into its respective joint portion such that the ball plungers are selectively adjustable to vary the amount of turning or pivoting force that is required to unseat the balls from their respective seats and move them to respective adjacent seats.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 1991Date of Patent: September 1, 1992Assignee: General Resource CorporationInventor: Josef Pausch

Patent number: 5096230Abstract: A quick-release adapter for connecting the inlet of an exhaust removal hose to the outlet of a tail pipe of a vehicle with an internal combustion engine while minimizing exhaust leakage. The adapter includes three disk-like permanent magnets pivotably mounted on the inlet of exhaust removal hose and three receptacle-shaped magnetic connectors secured to the outlet of the tail pipe for engaging the magnets and mating the exhaust removal hose to the tail pipe. The exhaust removal hose is thus readily connectable to and disconnectable from the tail pipe.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 1991Date of Patent: March 17, 1992Assignee: General Resource CorporationInventors: Josef Pausch, Harvey S. Lewis, Glen Kampa

Patent number: 4995645Abstract: An elbow connection for pneumatic conveying systems is provided. The elbow has an inlet opening, an outlet opening and a curved area of short radius extending therebetween. The section of the elbow between the inlet and outlet openings has a cross-sectional area that is substantially greater, at least 1.5:1, than the cross-sectional area of the inlet and outlet openings to reduce the wear of the elbow wall caused by the material conveyed therein.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 1990Date of Patent: February 26, 1991Assignee: General Resource CorporationInventor: Josef Pausch

Patent number: 4026682Abstract: A Venturi apparatus and method used with a cyclone separator to separate particulates, fumes and waste gases from gas, as air. The apparatus has a housing having a generally rectangular chamber through which the gas and particulates flow. The housing has converging side walls forming an elongated rectangular Venturi throat. Plates movably located in the chamber between the side walls are spaced from each other to control the length of the Venturi throat. Controls connected to the plates are operable to move the plates relative to each other to change the length of the Venturi throat. The width of the Venturi throat is determined by the spacing of the side walls and is not changed by movement of the plates.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 1975Date of Patent: May 31, 1977Assignee: General Resource CorporationInventor: Josef Pausch
