Abstract: The present invention relates to an antigenic surface structure of sperm cells associated with the Y chromosome, to the molecules, in particular antibodies, directed against this antigenic structure and to a method for characterizing cells carrying only the Y chromosome through the interaction between this antigenic structure and the molecules directed against said structure.
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for sampling animal seminal liquid, notably boar seminal liquid, exhibiting at least one housing capable of accommodating a penis and a trigger for ejaculation. According to the invention, the ejaculation trigger includes a mechanism to subject the walls of the housing to pulses intended for stimulating the penis. The invention also concerns a facility for collecting an animal seminal liquid including such a device and also a usage thereof or of said facility for collecting boar seminal liquid.
Abstract: An artificial insemination device for breeding animals, such as sows, including a catheter suitable for being introduced into the genital system so as to enable sperm to be discharged therefrom and a reservoir of sperm connected to the catheter. The catheter has a conduit with an end piece at a distal end thereof. The conduit is suitable for lodging in the neck of the animal's uterus. A ring is provided so as to form a tight seal between the reservoir and the catheter.
