Patents Assigned to GENESEQUE AS
  • Patent number: 11549141
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method of sequencing immobilized polynucleotides in which beads which are tethered to the solid support are used as labels to identify bases within the polynucleotides. The beads carry sets of probes or bases which can bind to the polynucleotide allowing identification of the target base(s). Identification of the base(s) is achieved through sequential application of different cleavage means specific to different probes/bases carried on the beads. Also provided is an apparatus for performing the method and a kit comprising the apparatus and other components necessary for performing the method.

  • Patent number: 10222333
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method of detecting a molecule attached to a surface comprising detecting a bead attached to the molecule. The method may be used for the detection of single molecules and the surface shape may be adapted to receive beads. The disclosure further describes an apparatus for detecting the presence of a molecule having a bead attached thereto comprising a surface adapted to detect a bead wherein the shape of the surface is configured to receive and retain a bead. Kits comprising the apparatus are provided and a use of the apparatus for detecting a bead or a molecule attached thereto is also described.

  • Patent number: 10167504
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of sequencing a polynucleotide using a stepwise ligation and cleavage method in which two or more cleavage enzymes which are specific to two or more test probes are used sequentially to identify which test probe bound and hence the sequence of the target polynucleotide. In a preferred aspect the probes and/or bases used in the reaction are labelled, e.g. with a bead.

  • Patent number: 9447465
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of sequencing a single polynucleotide in which the nucleotide base and/or probe which is incorporated during sequencing is labelled with a bead which is detected to identity the base and/or probe which has bound to the single polynucleotide. Particularly, the detection of the bead may be carried out using an apparatus comprising a surface provided with a means for detecting a bead e.g. with one or more light sensitive elements.
