Abstract: A railroad tie plate placement system facilitates or enables a railroad crew to minimize interaction with railroad tie plates while placing railroad tie plates in a proper orientation on a railroad or railway track in preparation for insertion under a rail. Thus, the described railroad tie plate placement system reduces labor costs and decreases risk of injury while providing for consistent placement of tie plates.
