Abstract: A device configuration method for a vehicle in a fleet of vehicles comprises, at a computing device communicatively coupled to electronic devices provided in the vehicle, obtaining at least one template configuration file assigned to the computing device based on a user selection, the at least one template configuration file specific to the fleet of vehicles and comprising first configuration data indicative of a manner in which the computing device is to interface with the electronic devices, and second configuration data indicative of a desired setting for at least one configuration parameter of one or more electronic devices, automatically self-configuring for operation based on the first configuration data, and transmitting, at least in part, the second configuration data to the one or more electronic devices to cause the one or more electronic devices to adjust the at least one configuration parameter to the desired setting.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatuses for sharing video data across tenants of a multi-tenant security system. The methods may include maintaining a first tenant account of a security server and a second tenant account of the security server. The first tenant account is unrelated to the second tenant account. The second tenant account is configured to include partner account privileges for the first tenant account. A request from the second tenant account to access a resource associated with video data included in a resource registry of the first tenant account is accessed. The resource registry is made accessible to the second tenant account based on the partner account privileges. The request may be approved or denied. The video data is stored in a tenant database in association with the second tenant account based on the request being approved. The request may be processed by an image processing device.

Abstract: A method and system for operating a traffic sanitization device connectable intermediate an end device and a data network communicatively coupled to a server. The method comprises acquiring configuration parameters of the end device required for communicating with the server The method also comprises creating a network stack for communication with the server, the network stack including the acquired configuration parameters of the end device. The method further comprises establishing a secure communication link with the server over the data network. Also, the method comprises implementing traffic sanitization on packets received from the end device, wherein packets that have been sanitized are sent to the server over the secure communication link using the created network stack. Abstract: A method for routing media in a surveillance system comprises, at a gateway device placed on a local network deployed at a location being surveilled and having network connectivity to a cloud computing device, detecting networked device(s) placed on the local network, the networked device(s) comprising media device(s) each configured to generate media stream data as the location is being surveilled, determining a level of interest associated with the media stream data, obtaining, based on the detecting, at least one rule indicative of when the media stream data is to be routed, based on the level of interest, via the gateway device and when the media stream data is to be routed directly to the cloud computing device for processing, and instructing, based on the level of interest, at least one of the networked device(s) to route the media stream data according to the at least one rule.

Abstract: Methods and systems for determining at least one candidate user for a license plate number (LPN) are described herein. A set of license plate recognition (LPR) events that correspond to the LPN and a set of access events of a plurality of users may be obtained. One or more associated events for each respective user of the plurality of users may be determined. A confidence score for each respective user may be determined based on the one or more associated events for the respective user. At least one candidate user for the LPN may be identified based on the confidence score. An indication that the at least one candidate user is a candidate for the LPN is output. Methods and systems for determining at least one candidate license plate number for a user are also described herein. Additional related methods and systems are described herein.

Abstract: Methods and systems for enrolling a camera into a video surveillance system are described herein. A display of a mobile device may be used to display visual information indicative of enrollment information for enrolling the camera into the video surveillance system. The camera reads the visual information to obtain the enrollment information. The camera transmits an enrollment request to a server of the video surveillance system based on the enrollment information. The server enrolls the camera into the video surveillance system based on the enrollment request. The methods and systems described herein may be used for enrolling any suitable networked device into a system.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for identifying sensitive information identifier in a privacy-protection manner are provided. The method is performed at a first computing entity which is configured to access a set of license plate numbers and to communicate with a second computing entity which is configured to obtain a license plate number that is captured by one of one or more license plate recognition (LPR) devices distributed in a certain geographic area. The method comprises: receiving a first hash value of the license plate number from the second computing entity; determining that the first hash value matches a second hash value of a plurality of hash values in an association relationship; and generating a notification of an identified license plate number. The association relationship maps a respective one of the plurality of hash values to a corresponding license plate number in the set of license plate numbers.
