Abstract: A fitting formed as a welding sleeve has, preferably, two heating elements and is provided in the region of the plug contacts with a plate which can be inserted into a recess. On the plate is arranged a resistor and the connections for measuring the ohmic resistance by means of a welding apparatus. By measuring the resistance, the type of the fitting can be identified and the current to be fed to the welding apparatus determined.
Abstract: A method for welding tubular thermoplastic parts includes the steps of (a) providing first tubular and second tubular parts made of thermoplastic material and each having an end face; (b) determining a desired butt weld length for the parts; (c) providing a clamping member for coaxially clamping the parts, the clamping member including a first clamp for clamping the first part and a second clamp for clamping the second part, at least one of the first clamp and the second clamp being axially displaceable relative to the other between a part loading position and a butt weld position; (d) adjusting the butt weld position of the first and second clamps to a final butt weld position corresponding to the desired butt weld length; (e) clamping the parts in the clamps when the clamps are in the part loading position; (f) positioning a cutter between the end faces of the parts; (g) displacing the at least one of the first and second clamps toward the final butt weld position so that the cutter machines the end faces o
Abstract: A method of manufacturing by welding a shaped workpiece, which is formed of a plastic material and which consists of a tubular part having a radial bore and a union weldable to the tubular part in a region of the radial bore, includes bringing an end face surface of the union into abutting engagement with an outer circumference of the tubular part in the region of the radial bore, and heating a circular region around the radial bore of the tubular part and the end face surface of the union by heat radiation, with subsequent pressing the two parts against each other. The apparatus for implementing the method includes first and second clamping devices for supporting the union and the tubular part, respectively, with the second clamping device having a support member having a shape corresponding to an inner profile of the tubular part, and a pin supported in the support member for displacement in a direction transverse to a longitudinal axis of the support member, and a heating device for heating the two parts.
Abstract: A molded connector for producing a branch connection for a pipeline has two heating windings which are connected to each other and by means of which the weld connection between the pipeline and the molded connector as well as the inserted molded branch part or a pipe is produced simultaneously.
Abstract: A Karman eddy flow meter includes a bending sensor mounted in an arm projecting into the flow channel of a conduit for measuring the velocity of a medium flowing through the conduit. The sensor is encapsulated within the arm and is elongated in the direction of the medium flow within the flow channel of the conduit.
Abstract: The welding sleeve has a coil of a resistance wire forming two heating zones and is arranged near the inner circumference of the sleeve. Each heating zone has a region at the beginning and end in which the coil spacing is less than in the center region.

Abstract: For welding tubular plastic parts (1) formed as a compound tube there is used a welding element (20) which is arranged with its inner peripheral surface (23) on projections (10) of the tubular parts (1) and reciprocally centers them. The welding element (20) has an annular part (21) with a heating coil (22) on its outer contour. The heating coil (22) has coil strands laid in a zig-zag shape which are curved in a U-shape and extend transversely to the peripheral direction of the annular part (21).
Abstract: A pipe cutoff apparatus comprises a frame having two frame parts, which are clamped together, wherein said apparatus comprises guides for a cutter device movable around the pipe to be cut. A pipe clamping device with clamping jaws is arranged at one frame part and clamps the pipe in a centered position with respect to the frame.
