  • Patent number: 11787623
Abstract: A single-serve capsule for preparing a beverage in a beverage apparatus. The capsule includes an inlet end, an outlet end arranged opposite to the inlet end, and a capsule base which closes the outlet end. The capsule base includes an outside area, an outside edge, weak points which open, break and/or tear as a result of a fluid pressure of hot water in the interior of the capsule, and arcuate thin spots arranged next to each of the weak points. The arcuate thin spots provide for a uniform guidance of a plastic melt, do not break or tear open under the fluid pressure of the hot water, and form ramp-like sloping surfaces to increase a surface of the accurate thin spots upon which the fluid pressure of the hot water acts.

  • Publication number: 20230278757
Abstract: A closure cap made of a plastic. The closure cap includes a cylindrical shell which has a lateral outer surface and a vertical axis of rotation, and wings which are arranged to protrude from the lateral outer surface and which are fastened on diametrically opposite sides of the cylindrical shell. Each of the wings transitions from a wing fastening region, which is arranged close to the cylindrical shell, into an actuation region, which adjoins the wing fastening region and which is arranged radially further distant from the cylindrical shell. The actuation region serves for a manual actuation of the closure cap. The wing fastening regions are arranged, with respect to both sides of a central plane which runs through the cap axis of rotation, rotationally symmetrical with respect to the cap axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 10301084
Abstract: The invention relates to a pourer (1) of a container comprising a pouring nozzle (2) which forms a pouring channel and on the external thread (3) of which a covering cap (4) is screwed. A sealing stopper (6) which closes the pouring channel is guided non-rotatably and is vertically displaceable in the pouring channel of the pouring nozzle. The sealing stopper (6) is retained on the cap which is rotatable relative thereto, such that a screwing on of the cap leads to a lifting of the sealing stopper (6) in the pouring channel. The cap (4) has an upper opening in which the sealing stopper (6) lies with the upper end thereof. The upper end of the sealing stopper (6) has at least one tamper-evident part (7) which breaks off or breaks up when the cap is unscrewed relative to the non-rotatably retained sealing stopper.

  • Patent number: 7850044
Abstract: The invention relates to a welded-in plastic spout part that is to be joined to a plastic receptacle part, especially a receptacle part made of film-type plastic material such as a pouch. The inventive spout part comprises parallel planar weld-on ribs which extend along the circumference of a neck area (spout) that defines a pouring passage. A rib-shaped welding burr that is less thick than the weld-on ribs is provided at the outer circumference of said weld-on ribs. The welding burr is molded onto an outer rounded peripheral edge of the weld-on ribs. A partition which protrudes radially on both sides of the neck area is arranged perpendicular to the weld-on ribs. Both ends of said partition extend beyond the ends of the rib base area so as to form lateral flaps. The welding burrs extend past both sides of the flaps while the lateral flaps are provided with one respective recess instead of a top and bottom outer corner.

  • Patent number: 7651003
Abstract: A closure used on a beverage container has an outlet neck centered on an axis. The closure has a mount secured to the neck and a valve body formed with an outwardly open passage extending along a passage axis generally coaxial with the outlet-neck axis. This body is pivotally displaceable in the mount about a valve-body axis generally coaxial with the passage axis and outlet-neck axis between an open position and a closed position and through an intermediate position. Structure on the valve body and mount block flow through the passage in the closed position, allow free flow through the passage in the open position, and limit flow through the passage in the intermediate position.

  • Patent number: 7195227
Abstract: A valve has a base body fitted in an opening and having a through passage formed at one end with a first valve surface. A valve element in the base body and has axial ends one of which forms second valve surface sealingly fittable with the first valve surface to close the through passage. A stem in the through passage is coupled to the valve element to move it between the closed and open positions. A plurality of abutment arms projecting inward from an inner peripheral wall of the through passage define with a shaft region of the valve element a clearance and define a radial gap between opposite arms which is greater than a radial dimension of the shaft region and smaller than a radial dimension of a shoulder of the valve element.
