    Abstract: An apparatus for producing particles of essentially uniform size from plastic materials is provided comprising two oppositely rotating drums positioned parallel and adjacent one another to form a nip, one drum being hollow and having uniformly distributed perforations over a portion of its surface area; a scraper assembly which is located inside the hollow perforated drum; and a discharge means which ejects particles from the interior of the hollow drum.
