Patents Assigned to GESIPA Blindniettechnik Gesellschaft mit beschrankter Haftung
  • Patent number: 4612793
Abstract: A tool for setting blind rivet nuts has a housing having a head defining a head axis, a pulling rod extending along and rotatable about the head axis, projecting axially forwardly from the head, and threadable into a blind rivet nut, and a hydropneumatic actuator including a rear air chamber and a source of air under pressure for axially displacing the rod along the axis between an extended position projecting axially relatively far from the head and a withdrawn position axially therebehind. A pneumatic motor connected to the pulling rod for rotating same in one sense to screw it into a rivet nut and for rotating the rod in the opposite sense direction to screw it out of the nut.

  • Patent number: 4515005
Abstract: A riveter has a housing forming an air chamber and a liquid-filled hydraulic chamber adjacent thereto, a head on the housing having a tip and forming a liquid-filled working chamber communicating with the hydraulic chamber, and a working piston in the working chamber and carrying a chuck for grasping a mandrel of a blind rivet. The head and chuck form a passage having a front end opening at the tip and a rear end opening into a mandrel-catching compartment and the piston displaceable in the working chamber between a ready position in which a mandrel of a blind rivet can be fitted into the passage at the chuck with the rivet engaged backwardly against the tip and an actuated position spaced from the tip and wherein the chuck is retracted.

  • Patent number: 4351179
Abstract: A manual riveting tool for the setting of blind rivets comprises a flat head whose housing carries the chuck which engages the mandrel and at least one pivotable member which is coupled with the chuck by a transmission in the head to draw the mandrel through the rivet and tear away. According to the invention, this member is provided with a lever to which an actuating arm can be removably connected by a plug-and-socket arrangement and the member further, at one of its ends at a side of the housing can be engaged by a standard socket wrench via another plug-and-socket connection. The housing may be formed with part of still a further plug-and-socket connection, e.g. for engagement by a handle. The plug-and-socket connections can be standard socket-wrench elements.

  • Patent number: 4027556
Abstract: A blind riveting tool has a base or holding member on which is pivoted a U-shaped clamping element which has a bight portion defining one side of a seat. Pivoted on this clamping element is a holding member formed with a jaw that can coact with the seat to grip the mandrel of a rivet whose head rests against the bottom side of the holding member. Both the displaceable member and the holding member have handles which when pivoted toward one another cause the jaw of the displaceable member to clamp a mandrel tightly against the seat and then pivot up, pulling this mandrel through its rivet and upsetting same.

  • Patent number: 4027520
Abstract: A blind riveter has a pistol-shaped housing connected via hydraulic and pneumatic lines and a rivet-feed duct to an actuator and rivet-feed arrangement. The housing has a tip forming a mandrel-receiving aperture and formed of a plurality of inwardly biased but outwardly deflectable holding elements. A chuck is displaceable in this housing between a front position engageable around the mandrel extending back through the aperture from a blind rivet whose head rests against the tip and a back position spaced well back from this aperture. During displacement from the front to the back position the mandrel is pulled back to upset its rivet and is broken off and during displacement from the back to the front position, the chuck grips the mandrel of a blind rivet that was introduced from behind into the housing behind the aperture and pushes it through the aperture, deflecting the holding elements apart.

  • Patent number: 4005598
Abstract: A blind riveter has a housing with a tubular body and a nosepiece containing a rivet-mandrel-gripping chuck extending transverse to this body. The body is provided with three in-line tubes constituting a liner separated by two partitions so as to form three compartments each provided with a respective longitudinally reciprocal piston. A stem interconnects the three pistons and is provided at the forward end with an end piece engaging a roller on the long arm of a bell-crank lever pivoted on the housing and having a short arm pivoted on a puller body carrying the rivet-gripping chuck.
