Abstract: A headrest for motor-vehicle seats comprising a yielding body connected to a pair of supports, to be fixed to the backrest of a motor-vehicle seat, through an articulated parallelogram system formed by two pairs of swinging arms by means of which the yielding body can be displaced between a lowered position and a raised position. To hold the yielding body in the raised position or, respectively, in the lowered position a locking system is provided which, in the raised position of the yielding body, applies a retaining force appreciably higher than in the lowered position of the yielding body and can be released by a push-button arranged on one side of the yielding body.
