  • Patent number: 7089821
Abstract: A shift device for an inline transmission, comprising a shift shaft which is rotated during selection movements and is offset axially during shift movements, a plurality of shift members each of which being mounted movable or pivotably in the axial direction, for the actuation of at least one assigned shift clutch, a plurality of shift fingers which are secured to the shift shaft and extend in each case towards one side, each shift finger being assigned to one of the shift members and being arranged in such a way that, in a defined rotary selection position of the shift shaft, the shift finger is coupled axially to its assigned shift member, in order to drive the shift member during an axial movement of the shift shaft, and a blocking device for preventing two or more gears of the transmission from being shifted simultaneously, the blocking device having a plurality of individual blocking elements mounted fixedly with respect to the casing.

  • Patent number: 6523435
Abstract: A differential gear for a motor vehicle, comprises a casing, an input shaft, two output shafts, and a differential supported within the casing. The casing comprises two casing parts connected to each other along a separation plane which is oriented perpendicular with respect to the output shafts. At least one of the two casing parts comprises a projection which serves as a hollow carrier. The projection comprises an attachment spot for attaching the casing to a body of the motor vehicle, and is arranged above a rest oil level within the casing, wherein a retaining element is arranged within the casing at the entrance of the projection. The retaining element limiting the flow of oil which has been thrown into the projection, back into the casing.

  • Patent number: 6095001
Abstract: A motor vehicle stepped transmission comprises a transmission input shaft ich is driven by an engine output shaft via a separating clutch. Further, it comprises a transmission output shaft arranged colinearly with the transmission input shaft. A countershaft is arranged parallel to the transmission output shaft. A plurality of gearwheel sets is provided for establishing forward and reverse gears within the transmission. A sub-plurality of the gearwheel sets each comprises a loose wheel. The loose wheels are rotatably arranged on a shaft and are adapted to be rigidly connected to the shaft by means of a gearshift clutch for shifting into one of a sub-plurality of the forward and reverse gears. Another of the gearwheel sets is associated to another of the forward and reverse gears and is adapted to be switched by means of a friction clutch. A toothed wheel within the other gearwheel set and associated to the other gear is arranged on an additional shaft extending parallel to the transmission output shaft.

  • Patent number: 5495775
Abstract: A stepped motor vehicle transmission comprises an input shaft, a first and a second intermediate shaft and an output shaft. The shafts are arranged parallel to each other, but only two each are arranged in a common plane. Toothed wheels are provided on the shafts meshing in pairs with each other. Gearshift sleeves are provided for drivingly connect one each loose toothed wheel of the pairs with the respective shaft on which they are journaled. The respective other toothed wheels of the pairs are designed as fixed wheels. The input shaft, the first intermediate shaft and the second intermediate shaft are each provided with a gearshift sleeve being displaceable in two gearshift directions each for engaging a total of five forward gears and one reverse gear. One supplemental fixed toothed wheel on the first intermediate shaft meshes with a loose toothed wheel on the input shaft. Further, one supplemental fixed toothed wheel on the second intermediate shaft meshes with a toothed wheel on the output shaft.
