Abstract: A system and method for performing multiple user authentications with a single sign-on is disclosed. This system and method begins when the user performs a first user authentication, with user name and password, within the user's Intranet. Then the user selects a remote server subsequent to the first authentication. The server in the Intranet sends a token to the remote server containing authentication information made available because of the first authentication. Finally, the remote server decodes the authentication information, which has the effect within the remote server of performing a second user authentication without the user needing to sign-on a second time.

Abstract: A method for designating dates in an interactive travel calendar including the steps of providing an interface for users to specify event ranges, each event range having a start date that chronologically precedes an end date, receiving a signal designating a first date associated with an event, receiving a signal designating a second date associated with an event, setting the first date or the second date as a start date for an event range based upon a chronological relationship between the first date and the second date, with the start date being the date earlier chronologically among the first and second date and the end date being the date chronologically later among the first and second date, and presenting information reflecting the event range.

Abstract: Meeting or conference facilities are evaluated based on an all-inclusive meeting cost. The all-inclusive meeting cost is used to rank the facilities based on the lowest all-inclusive meeting cost or on highest quality below a maximum cost. Meeting planners can then compare total meeting cost at facilities with different characteristics, and find the facilities that offer the most value. An application server is used to calculate all-inclusive meeting cost from a comprehensive database of cost factors. The list of generated meeting facilities and their costs can be generated quickly for a large number of potential meeting facilities.
