  • Patent number: 5111842
Abstract: A cartridge for a mixer valve comprising a cage, a supporting member for a hard material plate, a hard material plate mounted, operatively stationary, in this supporting member, at least one sealing gasket interposed between the fixed plate and the supporting member, and retaining structure arranged for connecting the fixed plate to the respective supporting member with a gasket compressed therebetween, in such a way as to maintain between these parts a constraint state, wherein the supporting member for the fixed plate is formed by a bottom applied to the cartridge cage, this latter having a seat intended for direct support of the fixed plate, and the retaining structure operating between the cage and the bottom of the cartridge. In this way the compression of the gasket is obtained without applying to the fixed plate any concentrated strain capable of damaging the same.

  • Patent number: 4969483
Abstract: A hydraulic faucet intended to house a cartridge containing flux control members shaped as plane plates of hard material, and comprising a valve body and a removable cover, wherein some inlet passages for ambient air are provided for in register with the faucet cover, and a one-way valve with elastic lip is housed within the cover, between an outer region of the faucet, communicating through the inlet passages with the outside ambient, and an inner region of the faucet, communicating with the delivery outlet of the faucet. This one way valve with elastic lip is inserted in such sense that it remains sealingly closed when the pressure in the inner region of the faucet is not lower than the ambient air pressure which is present in the outer region of the faucet, and it automatically opens when the pressure in the inner region of the faucet decreases, even of a slight amount, under the ambient air pressure, so that no siphon back flow may arise.

  • Patent number: 4623000
Abstract: An imperforate movable hard material plaque, intended to be displaced both diametrically and rotationally with respect to a fixed plaque having two passage openings for hot and cold water, respectively, in the flow control device of a single control mixer valve, whose shape substantially comprises a basic circle at least half of which forms the outline of the movable plaque, and at least one substantially triangular portion which protrudes towards the outside from the basic circle and whose two outer sides are both substantially tangent to the basic circle. In a preferred embodiment two such substantially triangular portions are provided, and a side of one of these portions substantially constitutes the continuation of a side of the other portion. Preferably, the sides defining the triangular portions are formed by circle arcs or by straight line segments.

  • Patent number: 4610268
Abstract: A mixer valve comprising a valve body, control means, a changeable cartridge inserted into the body of the valve, a fixed hard material plaque mounted in the cartridge, and a movable plaque housed in the cartridge, connected to the control means and intended to cooperate with the fixed plaque to carry out the regulation of the flow rate and the mixing ratio, and wherein the changeable cartridge is contained in the body of the valve with an axial clearance; the cartridge carries peripherally, near its inner end, a gasket intended to radially seal in a corresponding bore of the valve body; there is provided a sealing union acting between the cartridge and one of the water inlet pipes; the other water inlet pipe communicates with the bottom portion of the valve body; the remaining portion of the body cavity comunicates with a delivery union; and there may be provided a resilient member acting between the valve body and the cartridge to permanently apply a preloading force onto the plaques.

  • Patent number: 4596376
Abstract: A mixer valve in which a fixed hard material plaque has passage openings which communicate with two feeding pipes, a plastic material control slide is connected to a valve operator, and a movable hard material plaque, rigidly connected to the control slide, cooperates through a portion of its peripheral edge with the passage openings of the fixed plaque, in order to control the delivered liquid flow rate and the mixing ratio of the liquids fed to the valve; the plastic material slide has a series of blades disposed in a comb-like fashion, which extend up to the vicinity of that edge portion of the movable plaque, and at least a part of which corresponds, on the side which is axially opposite the fixed plaque, to a window communicating with the space situated behind the control slide. Preferably, the control slide is guided for a diametrical displacement in a rotary guide ring, and this guide ring in its turn is provided with a series of blades disposed in register with the blades of the control slide.

  • Patent number: 4325403
Abstract: In a single-control mixing cock the proportion of mixing between hot water and cold water and the delivery flow rate are controlled by plates (10,14) of hard material sliding one with respect to the other along plane surfaces and contained within a replaceable cartridge supported in oriented fashion within the body of the cock.In order to avoid the necessity of replacing the articulated joints for the control lever of the cock, plates (10,14), control means (17), guide and motion-limiting means (23), are contained in the shell (5,6) of the cartridge, said control means (17) being provided with a coupling means (22) complementary and reciprocally engageable with coupling means (33) of the control lever (31) connected by the articulated joint (29) to a cap which retains the cartridge within the body of the cock.
