Patents Assigned to GFI, Innovations
  • Publication number: 20130074982
Abstract: The invention is directed to methodologies and apparatuses in which materials are dispensed in order to create a desired finished product. The invention permits the dispensing of a specific amount of material in a controllable, metered fashion. The invention includes a plurality of storage containers may be positioned within (or eternal to) the machine or equipment in a way that allows the containers to be rotated on an axis such that the material inside each container is turned over on itself resulting in the material being thoroughly dispersed within itself. Additionally, the containers, connectors and hosing prevent the material to be dispensed from coming in contact with the air. This would prevent material inside the containers from drying.

  • Patent number: 8011394
Abstract: The invention includes a material dispenser that further includes a container containing material, a press plate or puck for exerting pressure on the material, a sensor for detecting the material discharged from the container, and a scale for detecting the amount of material discharged from the container. The sensor and scale provide feedback to a computer which controls the amount of pressure exerted on the material. The computer controls the pulsing of additional material from the container until a targeted amount of material has been discharged from the container. The invention permits the dispensing of a specific amount of material in a controllable, metered fashion.

  • Patent number: 7198073
Abstract: A methodology and apparatus comprises integral material reservoir cylinders which contain separate material bags in which reside a component required for a formulation, or alternate material reservoir containers, typically drums, with a component required for a formulation in each drum, or a combination of both, that provides a volume of material through a supply tube into a valve that directs the material to either: 1) a dispense tube and through a dispense valve, into a receiving container that sits upon a scale, or 2) into a dispense cylinder in which resides a piston that, through the use of a piston drive plate actuator and the piston drive plate actuators' piston drive plate, directs the material through a valve and through a dispenser tube and through a dispense valve and into a receiving container that sits upon a scale.

  • Publication number: 20060048841
Abstract: The invention is directed to methodologies and apparatuses in which materials are dispensed in order to create a desired finished product. The present invention improves upon the container in which the material is stored, shipped and used and does so by incorporating a pressure responsive silicone dispense valve configured to allow the dispensing of a specific amount of material through it in a controllable, metered fashion.

  • Patent number: 6637471
Abstract: An automatic hybrid volumetric method of dispensing (HVD) improves on gravimetric dispensing and volumetric dispensing. The method dispenses ingredients for a mixture, according to pre-selected formulations, utilizing a supply of the fluid ingredients, an ingredient container, a power-driven plunger in the ingredient container, a mixture container, and a calibration weight scale. The plunger is movable to expel fluid in the ingredient container. The method includes several steps. The ingredient container is connected to the supply to receive a first ingredient in the ingredient container. The ingredient container is connected to the mixture container for the mixture container to receive ingredient expelled from the ingredient container by movement of the plunger.
