  • Patent number: 5843307
Abstract: A unit for the treatment of water by ozonization including, on the one hand at least one apparatus for the production of ozonized white water and, on the other hand, at least one contactor in a way that the mixing of the water to be treated and the white water occurs in said contactor. The installation for the production of ozonized white water includes a device for dissolution of ozone under pressure in a carrier liquid. In a first embodiment, allowing the treatment of high flows, a portion (typically 5 to 15%) of the main flow of the fluid to be treated is diverted to the vessel for the production of ozonized white water according to the invention, then reintroduced into the main flow within a contactor allowing the whole flow to be treated. In a second embodiment, corresponding more to the treatment of comparatively lower flows, the total flow of fluid is treated directly in the vessel for the production of ozonized white water.

  • Patent number: 5399261
Abstract: An installation for the treatment of a flow of liquids, notably potable water or effluents, installation of the type wherein the liquids are put into contact with a treatment gas during a pre-determined treatment period, the installation comprising means for the addition of the treatment gas to the flow of liquids so as to form a homogeneous two-phase treatment medium, means for the forced dissolution of the treatment gas in the flow of liquids to be treated cooperating with means for the degassing of the two-phase treatment medium so as to produce a monophase treatment medium and contactor means providing for a plug flow of the degassed monophase treatment medium during the pre-determined treatment period. A particular exemplary application of the installation is to the ozonation of liquids.

  • Patent number: 5314076
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a preferred application for the treatment of stored, waste or filtered water by the transfer of an oxidizing gas into this water. In this case, it has the functions of a turbojet with mass transfer. The installation is constituted by a vessel comprising two concentric parallel chambers communicating with each other at least by their ends, and the central chamber is provided, firstly, at least with two turbines arranged in stages, the rotational axis of which is the same as the axis of symmetry of the installation and, secondly, structures forming counter-blades placed in an alternating position with the turbines.

  • Patent number: 5271830
Abstract: An installation for the filtration and cleansing of liquids, notably water, of the type having a loop for the circulation of the water to be treated, including at least one tangential filtration membrane, comprising a new tangential membrane filtration installation, with ozone injection, enabling the surface, internal and chemical clogging of the membrane to be restricted. The installation includes means for the addition of an oxidizing gas to the liquid to be treated, in the loop upstream of the membrane, so as to form microbubbles of said gas with a size such that they create turbulence in the liquid at the membrane and this turbulence, combined with the phenomenon of oxidation, restricts the clogging of said membrane and leads to an improvement in the flow rate and in the physical/chemical qualities of the filtrate. If necessary, it includes means for the injecting of chemical reagents and/or absorbents into the filtration loop.
