  • Patent number: 11410134
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are disclosed herein for processing one or more sheets of sheet material in a deposit include various systems and processes. The systems and processes include receiving a sheet in a sheet-accepting device. Further, the systems and processes include reading, by a sensor, an identifier on each sheet, detecting anomaly information for the sheet that identifies an anomalous characteristic of the sheet. The systems and processes also include determining, for each sheet, information about the sheet from the identifier on the sheet, including accounting information and deposit information, including a value associated with the deposit. Moreover, the systems and processes include performing a reconciling process when the anomaly information identifies an anomalous characteristic of the sheet, including debiting the account associated with the sheet based on the value associated with the deposit that included the sheet, and crediting the account based on that value.

  • Patent number: 11049070
Abstract: A method includes receiving currency demand data for a plurality of cash-points, and currency attribute data for notes at each of the plurality of cash-points. The method also includes determining a first currency allocation indicative of a current allocation of the notes at each of the plurality of cash-points based on the currency attribute data. The method still further includes determining a second currency allocation indicative of a future allocation of the notes required to meet an expected currency demand at each of the plurality of cash-points based on the currency demand data. The method additionally includes determining a schedule for transferring the notes between one or more of the plurality of cash-points to meet the second currency allocation and initiating transfer of the notes according to the schedule to effect the second currency allocation in the cash-points to meet the expected currency demand.

The method also includes receiving a currency shipment request from a first cash-point. The method further includes determining a set of eligible cash-points from the plurality of cash-points based on the currency inventory information, each eligible cash-point being associated with a respective currency inventory having sufficient currency reserves to fulfill the currency shipment request. The method still further includes receiving an offer from each eligible cash-point, each offer indicative of an asking price for fulfilling the currency shipment request. The method additionally includes determining a selected cash-point to fulfill the currency shipment request based on the offers. The method even further includes initiating shipment of currency from the selected cash-point to the first cash-point.

  • Patent number: 9852471
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are disclosed herein for processing one or more sheets of sheet material in a deposit include various systems and processes. The systems and processes include receiving a sheet in a sheet-accepting device. Further, the systems and processes include detecting, by a sensor, characteristic information about the sheet. The characteristic information indicates whether the sheet is anomalous. The systems and processes also include encoding, by an encoding device, the sheet based on the characteristic information detected by the sensor. The encoding includes encoding the sheet with anomaly information when the characteristic information indicates that the sheet is anomalous. The anomaly information identifies a reason for indicating that the sheet is anomalous. Moreover, the systems and processes include disposing the encoded sheet in a container for further processing when the characteristic information indicates that the sheet is anomalous.
