Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided for processing a transport container with objects of value. The transport container is fed to the apparatus, preferably by means of a transport-container transport device of the apparatus. The apparatus is adapted to process the transport container automatically in accordance with the following steps: In the apparatus, the transport container is severed by means of a severing device, the objects of value are emptied from the severed transport container and are collected by means of a collection container in the apparatus. The collection container with the objects of value is transported away for the further processing of the objects of value by means of a collection-container transport device.
Abstract: An apparatus for singling sheet goods which comprises a suction device with a stator and a rotor movable relative to the stator. The stator has at least one first opening and the rotor at least one second opening which overlap upon a rotation of the rotor and thereby define an opening area with a first end and a second end. The opening area extends starting from the first end up to the second end, wherein a section of the opening area between the first end and the second end forms a suction area in which sheet goods to be singled can be sucked by the suction device. The first end of the opening area is arranged spaced from the suction area so that arising noise can be dampened.
Abstract: There is described a method for examining a value document while employing a digital image of the value document which comprises pixels, wherein the image is examined for the presence of at least one irregularity relating to a pre-specified property of the value document, when such an irregularity is found an examination region representing the irregularity is fixed in dependence on the size and/or position and/or form of the irregularity in the image, and for checking the irregularity only a part of those pixels of the digital image that correspond to the examination region is employed.
Abstract: Described is a method for providing measurement data for value documents to a specified purpose of use employing a value-document processing device which has a transport device for transporting the value documents, and a sensor device for capturing at least one property of value documents transported in the value-document processing apparatus by means of the transport device and forming measurement data describing the captured property, in which value documents are transported to the sensor device by means of the transport device and measurement data for these are respectively captured by means of the sensor device, it is tested whether the measurement data for the value documents meet a suitability criterion specified for the purpose of use, and measurement data for respectively one of the value documents either are permanently stored or discarded in dependence on the result of the testing.
Abstract: A method for sealing and checking a product for manipulation with a seal and to a corresponding seal, wherein the seal comprises an antenna, a chip, a measuring element, and a measurement device. For sealing and checking the product for manipulation, a step of arranging the seal at the product to be sealed is carried out, wherein the product is mechanically sealed. The seal receives a check query by means of contactless data transmission from a read-write device, determines the physical property of the measuring element as a first measurement value by the seal, prepares a response to the query by the chip, sends by means of contactless transmission the response to the read-write device, the response of the chip relating to the first measurement value, and compares the first measurement value with a reference value.
Abstract: A system and a method for processing value documents comprises a multiplicity of bank-note processing machines connected and arranged to communicate with each other via a communication network, and which respectively have stored therein configuration data defining the operating configuration of a respective bank-note processing machine. At least a first bank-note processing machine is logically associated with a first local access service module, and at least a second bank-note processing machine is logically associated with a second local access service module. The system comprises a central master access service module having configuration data stored therein and in communication via the communication network with the first local access service module and the second local access service module. A change of the configuration data stored in the central master access service module leads to the configuration of the first bank-note processing machine and of the second bank-note processing machine being changed.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a partially demetallized layer element comprises the steps of: supplying a layer element having a carrier substrate with a face that has at least one first and one second region, wherein the first region has a first structure which is different from a second structure of the second region, and at least one metal layer is arranged on the face of the carrier substrate; and removing the metal layer by exciting surface plasmon polaritons by means of electromagnetic radiation in the first region having the first structure. Abstract: A stacking apparatus for value documents, having a stack deposit device and a braking device which is arranged along the transport path of the value documents immediately before the stack deposit device. On the transport shaft of the braking device at least one driving roller is firmly mounted and at least one roller rotatably supported on the transport shaft. At least one cam roller is firmly mounted on a braking shaft of the braking device and at least one eccentric roller. By a rotation of the braking shaft, the eccentric roller can electively be brought in engagement with the opposing driving roller so that a value document becomes clamped between these, or be brought out of engagement with the opposing driving roller, so that the value document is no longer clamped between these, but rather is brakable by the engagement between the cam roller and the rotatably supported roller.

Abstract: The invention relates to the fitness check of value documents. For at least two fitness criteria there is respectively determined with the aid of an unfit function an unfit degree of the particular value document. The unfit function clearly assigns an unfit degree to the fitness measurement values and has two threshold values, beyond which the unfit degree with respect to the relevant fitness criterion is 0 or 1. Between the threshold values there is an uncertainty range in which the unfit degree is, with respect to the relevant fitness criterion, between 0 and 1 and the unfit function behaves monotonously dropping or monotonously rising. Subsequently, the unfit degrees of different fitness criteria are combined into an unfit probability of the particular value document and on the basis of the unfit probability a fitness classification of the particular value document is carried out.

Abstract: An apparatus for the continuous singling of stacks of loose sheet goods comprises a singler for singling stacks of loose sheet goods and a feeding device having two feeding elements, moving stacks of loose sheet goods to be singled into a position where sheet goods are grasped by the singler and transferred to a transport system, and an area for receiving sheet goods to be singled with first and second subareas. The first and second subareas border each other, and the second subarea forms an input area for the sheet goods. The first feeding element moves within the total area, between the first and third positions, and forms an end position, at least, however, in the first subarea, between a second one and the third position. The lenticular image includes a lens grid composed of a plurality of microlenses and a laser-sensitive motif layer arranged spaced apart from the lens grid. The laser-sensitive motif layer comprises, in two or more motif layer sub-regions, different markings introduced by the action of laser radiation and that, when the motif layer is viewed with the lens grid, produce at least two appearances. The lens grid is divided into two or more lens grid sub-regions in which the microlenses each comprise differently refractive lens surface forms. The different lens grid sub-regions are congruent with the different motif layer sub-regions, and the markings of the motif layer sub-regions being produced by laser impingement of the lens grid sub-regions.
Abstract: An apparatus, a corresponding method, and value-document processing system for checking value documents that has at least two radiation sources for giving off electromagnetic radiation with which a value document is irradiated, at least one sensor for capturing the electromagnetic radiation emanating from the value document, and generating corresponding sensor signals. The apparatus has an evaluation device configured to derive from the sensor signals corrected sensor signals taking into account at least one spectral property of the electromagnetic radiation of the at least two radiation sources. The sensor signals corrected in this way reproduce the actual reflection or transmission behavior of the value document substantially more precisely than the uncorrected sensor signals. Disturbing remission or transmission artifacts may be attributed to so-called auxiliary emissions of the radiation sources are eliminated or at least reduced.

Abstract: A method for establishing a sorting result for a value document while employing sensor data for the value document and pre-specified classification parameters, includes a pre-specified classification method carried out while employing the sensor data and the classification parameters. The method involves carrying out pre-specified substeps such that at least some of which are making a respective decision, and because of the carried out substeps a class is established as a sorting result. At least upon making the decisions at least one classification parameter associated with the respective decision and/or at least part of the sensor data and/or at least one substep result obtained upon carrying out a preceding substep is respectively employed.
