  • Patent number: 10224972
Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for monitoring updates on a data carrier module include processes of initializing the mobile device to communicate on a telecommunications network, updating data files on the data carrier module, and reinitializing the mobile device to communicate on the telecommunications network. Initializing the mobile device includes storing a list of version numbers for monitored data files and the monitored data files from the data carrier module in a cache. Updating includes updating the version number of a monitored data file when the content of the monitored data file is updated on the data carrier module. Reinitializing the mobile device includes determining whether the version numbers of any monitored data files have changed, copying updated monitored data files from the data carrier module to the cache in response to determining that the version numbers of such data files changed, and loading the monitored data files from the cache.

  • Publication number: 20180218323
Abstract: A method includes receiving currency demand data for a plurality of cash-points, and currency attribute data for notes at each of the plurality of cash-points. The method also includes determining a first currency allocation indicative of a current allocation of the notes at each of the plurality of cash-points based on the currency attribute data. The method still further includes determining a second currency allocation indicative of a future allocation of the notes required to meet an expected currency demand at each of the plurality of cash-points based on the currency demand data. The method additionally includes determining a schedule for transferring the notes between one or more of the plurality of cash-points to meet the second currency allocation and initiating transfer of the notes according to the schedule to effect the second currency allocation in the cash-points to meet the expected currency demand.

Abstract: A method and system performing the method includes receiving currency inventory information from a plurality of cash-points. The method also includes receiving a currency shipment request from a first cash-point. The method further includes determining a set of eligible cash-points from the plurality of cash-points based on the currency inventory information, each eligible cash-point being associated with a respective currency inventory having sufficient currency reserves to fulfill the currency shipment request. The method still further includes receiving an offer from each eligible cash-point, each offer indicative of an asking price for fulfilling the currency shipment request. The method additionally includes determining a selected cash-point to fulfill the currency shipment request based on the offers. The method even further includes initiating shipment of currency from the selected cash-point to the first cash-point.

  • Publication number: 20180170029
Abstract: A lamination cassette includes a substrate to accommodate a plurality of first sheets of a first size. A loading template is removably coupled to the cassette via an adapter on the cassette to secure the loading template when inclined for loading. The template includes a first loading section for accommodating a plurality of second sheets of a second size smaller than the first size when loaded onto the substrate. The lamination cassette is configured to support sheets of the first size when the adapter is not coupled to the substrate and the vertical support surface is configured to support sheets of the second size when the loading template is coupled to the substrate. The loading template may also include a second loading section for accommodating a plurality of third sheets having the same size as the second sheets for laminating two pluralities of same size sheets on a single cassette.

  • Patent number: 9768823
Abstract: A data carrier is convertible into a cradle for a mobile communications device. The data carrier includes a first manipulation line downstream of a cutout in which the SIM is disposed. The first manipulation line and vertical manipulation lines define a stand that is less than a width of the card body. A support portion on each side of the stand includes a rear support surface that is fixed relative to manipulation of the stand. Each support portion also includes second manipulation and third manipulation lines configured such that upon manipulation, a vertical support surface extends between the second and third manipulation lines and a lip portion extends between the third manipulation line and a first end of the card body. The mobile communications device may be secured in a portrait orientation within the cradle formed by the rear support surfaces, the vertical support surfaces, and the lip portions.

  • Patent number: 9686417
Abstract: A device includes one or more processor, a display, and a module card. The one or more processor determines that a communication function of the device has terminated and sends a notification to the module card that indicates the termination. The module card sends a message to a server in response to receiving the notification and receives another message from the server. The message indicates that the device is ready to receive the other message. The other message includes an instruction and another notification, which is based on usage of an account and identifies an actionable category with respect thereto. The instruction causes the one or more processor to function as display, receiving, determining, and sending devices, which respectively display the other notification, receive an input response thereto, determine that the response corresponds to a confirmation to implement the actionable category, and send a further message including the response.

  • Patent number: 9647709
Abstract: A data carrier including a SIM card may be converted into a cradle to support a mobile communications device after the SIM card is removed and inserted into the device. The card body includes first, second, and third manipulation lines extending across the card body. The card body may be manipulated about these manipulation lines to form a stand and cradle comprising a first support portion to support a rear surface of the mobile communications device, a second support portion mobile to support a side surface of the mobile communications device, and a lip portion that secures the mobile communications device within the cradle. The lip portion is shorter in length than either the first or second support portions to limit obstruction of a display for the mobile communications device when disposed within the cradle to facilitate viewing of the display.
