  • Patent number: 9070976
Abstract: An antenna apparatus is proposed, which can be operated outside in the vicinity around the antenna apparatus despite a shielding effect of an electrically conducting frame or electrically conducting housing. In the process, the electrically conducting frame or electrically conducting housing encloses a housing volume inside the housing, within said volume an electrically conducting connection being produced from a first to a second location of the electrically conducting frame or the electrically conducting housing. The first and the second locations are selected such that a radio resonance chamber is separated by a parallel radio resonance at a working frequency of the electronic device inside the enclosed housing volume by means of the electrically conducting connection.

  • Patent number: 8902108
Abstract: A housing antenna system is proposed, by means of which automatic mass production of basic electrical or electronic devices having such a housing antenna system may be carried out in an economical and time-saving manner. This is achieved in that the housing antenna system is based on pressure contacting between the metallic antenna housing and the associated electronic circuit in order to operate the antenna housing as a housing antenna, using elastic elements.

  • Patent number: 8745613
Abstract: A method configures, in a semi-automatic manner, a communication device, connected to a packet-switched network, especially Internet, for communication with another, especially remote, subscriber. For this purpose, configuration data are provided on a configuration/software update server and are retrieved by the user of the device according to the user-specific or device-specific conditions by selecting from at least two types of inquiry data characterizing the conditions, e.g. inquiry data containing first country information items and second inquiry data containing second Internet service provider information items, and determination data.

  • Patent number: 8681988
Abstract: A method for encoding a connection between a base (2) and a mobile part (1), and a computer program product is povided. The method comprises generating a key agreed to by the base (2) and the mobile part (1) during a first connection, wherein the key comprises an index assigned by the base during the first connection, and b) using the generated key for a second connection between the base (2) and the mobile part (1), wherein the data to be transferred between the base (2) and the mobile part (1) are identified and encoded using the index assigned to the key. The security of wireless data transfer is thus increased in a simple and low-cost manner.

  • Patent number: 8634806
Abstract: In regard to a radio-controlled communication system (1), which comprises a base station (2) and at least one single mobile part (3), a registration procedure, which is simplified for a user, is proposed for registering the mobile part (3) at the base station (2). The registration procedure operates such that upon a first PIN request by the base station (2) to the mobile part (3), the mobile part (3) automatically transmits a so-called default PIN to the base station (3). If said default PIN is correct, the registration procedure is successful. If said default PIN is incorrect, the base station (2) checks for the existence of the so-called default PIN. If said default PIN does not exist, the registration procedure is ended. If the PIN exists, a user of the mobile part (3) receives the possibility to manually input the PIN, and the registration procedure is continued upon the check of the transmitted PIN for correctness.

  • Patent number: 8594071
Abstract: In order to be able to control the creation of a user channel connection in a communication system using wireless communication between at least one mobile part and one wired part in such a way that a user channel connection is established more quickly upon a connection request indicated by the mobile part or the wired part for the purpose of transmitting user data and, at the same time, due to market requirements, no synchronization pulses are sent by the wired part in the idle state, an initiating device of the communication system (for example, for an incoming call: base station; for an outgoing call: mobile part) sends, from an asynchronous idle state, synchronization pulses (SB) to all available physical resources. Due to the plurality of the sent, available synchronization pulses (SB), rapid synchronization is ensured because the probability is sufficiently increased thereby that a pulse will fall in the search window of a receiver.

  • Patent number: 8489712
Abstract: The invention relates to identifying and/or addressing a data terminal device (DEE1) of a local network (LNW, LAN, W-LAN, Ethernet, Powerline) such that address/identification information (AID-INF3) of the data terminal device of the local network is available to a user of the local network in a simple and comfortable manner, wherein the data terminal device registers with a terminal system (ESY) due to a triggering event (ALE), indicated for example, by the URL ‘www.mygigaset.com’ and present, for example, in a large area network (GNW, WAN, MAN, INTERNET), and transmits thereto address/identification information, for example modifiable information (AID-INF1), referencing the local network and the large area network. Said address/identification information is stored by the terminal system. Subsequently, in a further data terminal device (DEE2) of the local network, the URL ‘www.mygigaset.

  • Patent number: 8406387
Abstract: An apparatus and method for the remote request of information stored in telecommunication devices. In operation, an initialization message is transmitted to a telecommunication device, which initiates the remote request of stored information. The initialization message can also be used to notify the telecommunication device of an authorization code authorizing the remote inquiry and dial-in information for providing a transmission address of the requested information. After verifying the authenticating code and evaluating the dial-in information, a telecommunication connection is established to another telecommunication device corresponding to the dial-in information. The stored information is then transmitted to a requester via the telecommunication connection.

  • Publication number: 20120129563
Abstract: Based on a method used in a wireless communication system (for example WiMAX), wherein a possible successful transmission power (C) for detecting a transmitter by a receiver is calculated, in order to achieve a faster detection of the transmitter by the receiver, a method is proposed, wherein from the calculated transmission power (C) a permissible maximum (D) and a permissible minimum (E) transmission power are determined. At a starting time, a transmission power (G) is set, which is below the calculated transmission power (C) and above the determined permissible minimum transmission power (E). The transmission power is then increased incrementally (F) until the determined permissible maximum transmission power (D) is reached.

  • Patent number: 8144642
Abstract: In order to prevent in a communication system covering at least one cell for wireless communication, the system having a line-limited or across-line wireless direct communication possibility between mobile phones that is synchronized with a base station, that mobile parts attempt to synchronize in the communication system with a continuous broadcast downlink service provided by a hybrid mobile part, it is proposed to mark the continuous broadcast downlink service of the hybrid mobile part, which assumes the role of a radio fixed part, so that mobile parts, which want to synchronize with a true radio fixed part, can detect that the service provided by the hybrid mobile part is not permanently available, or even incomplete.

  • Patent number: 8132029
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for managing the power transmitted from a central network component to a decentralized network component via a line, said method determining the ultimately available power in a simple manner. In said method, a respective decentralized network component that is assigned to a predefined power class and can adjust different functionalities, each network component, successively simulates decentralized network components belonging to different power classes, verification is made as to whether the central network component responsible for transmitting power supports a decentralized network component of the simulated type, and the respective decentralized network component decides which functionalities implemented therein are activated after the respective decentralized network component has determined the power classes supported by the central network component.
