Abstract: A shaving razor system with a shaving razor cartridge having a first face with a first and second of lateral edges, the first face having a cap, a guard and at least one blade between the cap and the guard. A handle having a proximal end mounted to the shaving razor cartridge and a distal end. The handle includes a gripping portion between the proximal end and the distal end with a first lower surface toward the proximal end and a second lower surface toward the distal end. The shaving razor system has a rest position on a generally horizontal resting surface with areas of contact of the shaving razor system to the generally resting horizontal resting surface include the first lower surface, the second lower surface and the first lateral edge. The second lateral edge is spaced apart from the generally horizontal resting surface.
Abstract: A razor cartridge having a first blade proximal to a front of the cartridge and having one or more first coatings disposed thereon, a second blade proximal to a back of the cartridge, the second blade having one or more second coatings disposed thereon, wherein a thickness of at least one of the one or more first coatings disposed on the first blade is less than a thickness of at least one of the one or more second coatings disposed on the second blade.

Abstract: A polymeric handle material for a personal care implement comprises a polymer base material, and a filler material, preferably an inorganic filler material, wherein the polymer base material is selected from the group of polyamide, styrene acrylonitrile resin, polybutylene terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate, recycled plastic materials, or mixtures thereof, and wherein the filler material constitutes from about 50 wt % to about 80 wt %, preferably from about 70 wt % to about 75 wt %, of the polymeric handle material.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a handle for a personal care implement includes molding from a fiber-reinforced material, preferably by injection-molding, a core-connector unit having a core structure and a connector for attaching and detaching a head to and from the handle, and molding, preferably by injection-molding, a polymeric material onto the core structure to form a component that at last partially covers the core structure.
Abstract: Razor handles with integrated spring elements and/or methods of fabricating the same. In one example, a handle for a razor can comprise a head portion and a spring element having a distal end and a proximal end that longitudinally opposes the distal end to define an arc length of the spring element. The head portion can facilitate coupling razor cartridges in pivotal relation with the handle. The spring element can extend integrally from the head portion at the proximal end. The spring element can deflect as an abutment surface on the distal end travels in sliding engagement with a cam surface of a razor cartridge to an end point of the cam surface while exerting progressively increasing return torque as the razor cartridge rotates about a front pivot axis from a neutral position. The end point can fall proximal to a rear edge of the razor cartridge.
