Abstract: In a dump truck including a base supporting a dump bucket supported pivotally along one of its upper edges at the upper ends of vertically extending telescoping struts carried by the base, and power devices connected to the top edge of the bucket in transversely spaced relation from its pivotal axis and operable to raise the bucket, whereby the bucket is first raised in a non-tilted position by extension of the struts, and then tilted to a dump position about its pivotal axis, the provision of a locking latch operable to secure the struts releasably in their extended positions, the latch being activated by movement of the bucket away from its horizontal position, and deactivated by the return of the bucket to its horizontal position.

Abstract: A dump truck bed including a tiltable dump bucket adapted to dump its load laterally of the bed, and mechanism operable to elevate it to any desired elevation within a substantial range before dumping, whereby its load may be dumped into high truck beds or other higher receptacles, and to move said bucket laterally of the bed in the direction of dumping, whereby its load may be dumped into receptacles further from the side of the bed.

Abstract: A grain drying apparatus including a body member into which grain is fed, within which heated air passes through the grain bed to dry it, and from which it is discharged by a metering device, the retention time of the grain in the drying zone being determined by its rate of discharge, the discharge rate of the metering device being variable, and a modulating control system for regulating the metering device to vary its discharge rate in generally direct ratio to grain temperature attained within the drying zone, whereby continuous discharge of grain at a predetermined moisture content is obtained despite variations in the moisture content of the grain supplied to the drying zone.

Abstract: In a dump truck having a dump bucket pivotally mounted along one of its upper side edges to a bed, and a power device for tilting said bucket to dump its contents, said bed being supported by two axles carrying ground-engaging wheels, being pivotally mounted on one of said axles on a fore-and-aft axis, a stabilizer for locking the bed against tilting on its fore-and-aft axis during the dumping operation, the stabilizer consisting of cooperating ratchets and pawls carried respectively by the bed and pivoted axle and normally engaged to prevent tilting of the bed, the dump bucket being operable by movement thereof to its normal upright position to disengage the pawls and ratchets.
