  • Patent number: 9521732
Abstract: A wearable motion-signaling bag is provided. The bag includes a housing, one or more straps connected to the housing and shaped to be worn by a user; one or more motion sensors; one or more lights contacting at least one surface of the housing; one or more controls configured to be activated by the user; and a microcontroller operable to execute under programmable control and interfaced to one or more of the sensors, the controls, and the lights, the microcontroller configured to provide signals regarding the motion of the user through the lights based on sensed data from the motion sensors and commands from the capacitive controls. The bag can receive commands from a user device and provide the signals based on the commands.

  • Patent number: 9111085
Abstract: A system and method for electronic personal identity verification is provided. A user is registered with an authentication service, which includes providing to the service a biometric signature associated with the user and information personally known to the user. Identification data that includes the biometric signature is sent from an identification device worn by the user to a user device associated with the user. An input personally known to the user is received into the user device. Encrypted credentials are sent from the user device to the authentication service. The received encrypted credentials are compared to the biometric signature and the information provided to the authentication service. A claims token is sent from the authentication service to the user device upon the encrypted credentials matching the biometric signature and the information provided to the authentication service. An application is accessed via a third party provider using the claims token.

  • Patent number: 8896850
Abstract: A multifunctional printer is provided. A printer chassis includes a data buffer, controller and printing assembly. The data buffer includes electronic memory storage and retrieval components. The controller is electronically interfaced with the data buffer. The controller is configured to store a digital image into the data buffer. A printing assembly is electronically interfaced with the data buffer. The printing assembly is configured to output a printed facsimile of the digital image under control of the controller in a marking material progressively deposited on a print medium. A display is provided on the chassis and is electronically interfaced with the data buffer. The display is configured to render a visualization of the digital image. The rendering of the visualization on the display excludes that portion of the digital image that has been output in the printed facsimile.

  • Patent number: 8704944
Abstract: A handheld modular digital photography system is provided. A lens assembly includes a plurality of lens elements aligned on an optical axis to form an optical image on a plane of a digital image sensor. Both the lens elements and image sensor are fixedly mounted within a lens barrel. The image sensor is electrically-interfaced to a controller with a wireless transceiver. A modular chassis includes a structural frame, lens mount, and shutter control. The structural frame includes a cradle shaped to securely hold a handheld mobile device and an electrical coupler configured to electronically interface with the mobile device. The lens mount is on an outer surface of the modular chassis. The shutter control is provided to electrically signal the mobile device. The mobile device wirelessly sends the signal to the controller, which triggers image capture by the image sensor and wireless relay of the captured image to the mobile device.
