    Abstract: At least a portion of an oil-recovery well casing adjacent an oil-bearing earth formation is heated by the passing of an electrical current therethrough. The heated casing heats any oil entering therein. Paraffin found in the heated oil is thus maintained in a liquefied state thereby substantially reducing paraffin buildup in the oil-recovery well.
