Patents Assigned to GKN Cardantec International Gesellschaft Fur Antriebstechnik mbH
  • Patent number: 4943262
Abstract: The invention relates to a bearing assembly for a cross member. To avoid negative influences of axial forces which occur during the operation of the universal joint and which make it necessary to provide axial support for the rolling members, there have been provided supporting discs which are supported directly, via a bore, on a step of the arm. The seal which is located axially in the direction of the open end of the bearing bush is not subjected to any axial forces, as a result of which disadvantageous influences on the sealing effect of the seal are avoided. Furthermore, there is no need for any special fixing arrangement for the seal, with the exception of providing a seat which permits a defined association with the bearing bush.

  • Patent number: 4915531
Abstract: A disc clutch for use in drive lines of automobiles, including a flange ding member and a yoke driving member, one flange having a through hole and the other flange having a cam with threaded bores as well as bored steps. Torque transmission is effected via toothed portions with trapezoidal teeth whereas axial fixing is achieved via fixing bolts.

  • Patent number: 4824275
Abstract: An adjustable length propeller shaft (1) has a visual torsional load indiing device including a marker (7) on a sealing collar (6) of one shaft part (9) and a calibrated scale (8) on the sleeve (5) of the other shaft part (10); an end journal (4) of the shaft part (9) being in telescopic torque transmitting relation with the sleeve (5) and surrounded by the sealing collar (6). Any permanent torsional deformation between the journal (4) and sleeve (5) results in a permanent relative rotational movement therebetween observable as a movement of the marker relative to the scale.
