Abstract: A display case having a preferably square or rectangular outline and a front (1), a rear (2), an upper (5), a right (3) and a left side face (4), a base (6) or in addition an upper part (14) instead of the upper side face (5), all the side faces or at least a part of the same being formed of panes of glass, the interior being sealed in its lower region with a support surface (7) and the display case being sealed extensively in an airtight manner relative to the external air. The display case being formed from two symmetrical halves (8, 9) which are separated from each other vertically, the base (6) and the possibly present upper part (14) forming a part of the front (1), rear (2), right (3) and left side face (4) and the two halves (8, 9) being able to be moved away from each other or towards each other horizontally and parallel, the support surface (7) being excluded from the movement. Such a display case has no door, access to the interior is nevertheless provided in the open state.

Abstract: In a method for air treatment in a display cabinet for the storage and/or display of objects, whose walls, floor and roof structure more or less enclose the inside space of the display cabinet and in which a forced inflow of air from an air delivery system connected to the inside space (1) of the cabinet maintains a slight excess pressure compared with the air outside it, the said airflow passes through suitable dust or gas filtration means before entering the cabinet and its air humidity is adjusted and/or controlled by means of a cooling device. After filtration, the airflow passes through a catalyser (8) present in a liquid (7), the air picks up moisture from the liquid and is rendered completely free from germs. In this manner and in a simple way, a completely germ-free atmosphere is produced inside the display cabinet. A display cabinet for implementing the method has a corresponding structure.

Abstract: A glass cabinet for storage and/or display of objects includes a front, a rear (2), a right (3) and a left lateral surface (4), a bottom piece (5) and an upper piece (6) forming the top, at least one lateral surface, for example, the front lateral surface being formed as a glass door (1), in the closed state of the glass cabinet, the interior thereof being sealed in an airtight manner to the environment and the door (1) being mounted displaceably laterally parallel by a guide means mounted in the region of the upper piece or the lower piece or respectively in the region of the upper and the lower piece until release of half of the door opening. In this position, the guide means is formed in such a manner that the projecting part of the door (1) can be pivoted in this position so far that this part of the door (1) adjoins the left (3) or right lateral surface (4). Such a design of a glass cabinet is particularly suitable for those with a very large width.

Abstract: A showcase for storing and/or displaying objects which require a protective gas atmosphere, the base and the cover construction of the showcase more or less surrounding the showcase interior which is sealed in an airtight manner as far as possible relative to the exterior air, having a compressor (2) by which the air (1) present outwith the showcase interior (7) is suctioned in and compressed. Subsequently a protective gas is produced from the compressed air by a gas producer (3) and is supplied to the showcase interior (7), the gas producer (3) being able to be accommodated within or outwith the showcase. In this way, provision of a supply container for the protective gas is avoided.

Subsequently a protective gas is produced from the compressed air by a gas producer (3) and is supplied to the showcase interior (7), the gas producer (3) being able to be accommodated within or outwith the showcase. In this way, provision of a supply container for the protective gas is avoided.

Abstract: A rod-shaped light fitting (8) for a showcase, whose length corresponds to the distance between two opposite side surfaces (4, 6) of the showcase which are plane-parallel to one another, comprises a plurality of light-emitting diodes (12) and can be positioned between the said side surfaces (4, 6) in such manner that the contacts (16) fixed in each end (9) of the rod-shaped light fitting (8) and electrically connected to the light-emitting diodes (12) press against the side surfaces (4, 6) under spring loading and at the same time establish electrical connection with the electrically conductive layer provided on the side of the side surfaces (4, 6) facing the inside of the showcase, the said layers being connected to a current source. Such a light fitting can be positioned in any desired position in a showcase to illuminate the objects displayed therein.

The upper part includes front, rear, right, left and upper side parts, of which at least the upper side part consists of a glass pane and wherein the upper part can be moved by an electric motor.

Abstract: A cabinet has a top part (1) consisting of glass sheets and an under part (8), wherein the top part (1) is composed of a top face (2) and a plurality of sides (3, 4, 5 and 6). A screw jack (10) driven by an electric motor (11) is fitted in each corner in the under part (8) to raise the top part (1). Synchronous running of all the electric motors (11) during the raising or lowering operation of the top part (1) is ensured by a common electronic control device (12) which is fitted in the under part (8).

Abstract: A cabinet for displaying objects comprises a top part (1) resting on an under part and which consists of a top face, a rear side (3), left (4) and right (6) sides, a bottom face (10) and a front side (5) consisting of a glass sheet (25) pivotally fitted on the top face (9) to swing upwardly. The glass sheet (25) is surrounded by a frame (11) on all sides. In the region of the front side (5) a gas spring (13) is rotatably attached to the bottom face (10) in the region of each of the left (4) and right (6) sides and acts in the region of the middle of the frame (11). The pivoting movement of the front side (5) is effected by screw jacks (14) acting above each of the gas springs (13) and driven by electric motors. Synchronous operation of the two electric motors is ensured by an electronic control device.

Abstract: A device for exhibiting flat articles consists of a profiled frame, which surrounds a picture on all sides round its outside. A flange is formed on an inwardly directed web of the profiled frame which is in register with a further web running parallel to the rear side of the picture frame, the flange facing towards the viewer and having a sheet of glass fixed to its end, the glass closing the profiled frame on the side facing the viewer. The picture is pressed against the side of the web facing away from the viewer by elastic pads, which bear against a rear wall connected to the rear side of the profiled frame. The edge and the marginal region of the sheet of glass are received by a rectangular recess of the picture frame. Since the inwardly directed web is in register with the outwardly directed further web, the face side of the picture is located in a plane behind the rear side of the picture frame.

Abstract: A cabinet for displaying objects, consists of a plurality of sides, of which one side is in the form of a door and bears in the closed state on the end surfaces of the two adjoining sides, wherein its outer edges are aligned with the outsides of these sides. The cabinet comprises two hinges arranged one above the other, each consisting of a door hinge part fixed to the door and a housing hinge part, which are rotatably connected together by a pin. Each housing hinge part is fitted on the end of a rod which is movable axially and perpendicular to the closing plane of the door in a bearing body fixed on a lower sheet metal frame located in the lower part of the cabinet or a bearing body fixed on an upper sheet metal frame located in the upper part. In the region of the lower part of the cabinet a gas pressure spring is fitted horizontally in the region of the lower part of the cabinet between the lower sheet metal frame and the door.

Abstract: Device for the presentation of objects, comprising at least one pane made of transparent material and having one or more sections made nontransparent, the inner surfaces of said sections being provided with fixing or attachment elements for joining the pane(s) with other parts of said device and/or for supporting accessory means. By means of said concealed fixing or attachment elements, the construction of which is therefore simple and moderate in price, a frameless joining of the pane(s) to form a device with continuous, uninterrupted panes is possible in which all the accessory means such as intermediate display platforms, illumination means, dust protection means, etc., which required heretofore complicated base portions and understructures and hood constructions, are directly attached on the nontransparent sections of the inner surfaces of the panes.

Abstract: Sliding doors of showcases are normally locked by safety locks, the installation of which must, however, be very precise when a play of the sliding door in rest position is to be avoided. By the new device a safe locking of a showcase is also to be achieved without having to pay attention to an especially precise installation. The sliding door (4) is held in the closed position and rest position, respectively, by permanent magnets (7) provided at the showcase, the magnetic force of which can be neutralized by an electric coil and direct current flowing therethrough. As the installation of the permanent magnets must not be so precise, such a showcase can be built up also outside a workshop, for instance on the building site. Furthermore, in this way the safe closure of sliding doors can be achieved when at positions where known locking means are difficult to reach.

Abstract: Show case (1) for keeping and exhibiting objects, the sides (4), the bottom (3) and the cover construction (2) of which encompass the interior of the show case more or less hermetically, wherein filter means (7) comprising preferably dust and/or gas protection filters and being accommodated in an air vent (5) clean air flowing into or being directed into said show case. When air flows in automatically due to changed pressure and temperature conditions inside and outside the show case, the show case is vented preferably through an air vent (6, 9) formed as an outlet valve. When it is impossible to seal the show case sufficiently, it will be ventilated forcibly with the least possible quantity of air by means of a pump or ventilating device connected to the interior of the show case through the filter means, which quantity of air is adapted to the air volumes flowing automatically into the show case when the air pressure increases suddenly or the temperature varies.

Abstract: A positioning arrangement for use with a device having a fixed or movable crane arm includes a suction device for plate-shaped bodies which hangs from the free end of the crane arm, the suction device being provided with a tilting device. The tilting device is infinitely variable by a setting mechanism. In this way, the center of gravity of the suction device with the plate-shaped body attached by suction may be adjusted such that the plate-shaped body is kept vertically.
