Abstract: Aspects of the present invention are directed to a variable dose container. The variable dose container may comprise a container including a top portion, a bottom portion, and a side wall portion, the space between the bottom portion and the side wall portion defining an interior space, wherein the container stores contents within the interior space. The variable dose container may further include an actuator coupled with the top portion of the container that is depressible in a longitudinal direction to drive the contents held in the interior space of the container out of a nozzle protruding horizontally from the actuator. Additionally, the variable dose container may include a collar under the nozzle, a top circumferential edge of the collar containing one or more grooves of varying depth into which the nozzle can be inserted when depressed, thereby adjusting a distance the actuator is moved in the longitudinal direction.

Abstract: The invention provides a topical o/w emulsion which moisturizes, and protects, repairs or restores the skin lipid barrier of a mammal. The topical o/w emulsion composition comprises: a) a discontinuous oil phase; b) a continuous aqueous phase comprising water; c) a thickening agent; d) at least one lamellar membrane structure comprising (i) a phospholipid, (ii) a fatty alcohol, and (iii) a fatty acid; e) a pharmaceutically acceptable active agent; and f) optionally a dermatologically acceptable excipient. In one embodiment, the composition, in use, has a water vapor transmission rate of less than or about 75 g·m?2·hr?1 measured in vitro using the modWVTR test methodology.

The individual dose pack may comprise a single serving pod and an overwrap surrounding the entirety of the single serving pod and sealing the single serving pod therein, wherein the overwrap is child-resistant and creates an impermeable barrier being resistant to the passage of liquids and gases. The single serving pod may include a cup, at least one pharmaceutical active ingredient provided in the cup, and a lid affixed to the cup.
